Haggling with a Squirrel

Rizz kept his squinting eyes on the squirrel. Meanwhile, he dragged a hand over the wooden binder.

"I'm not in a rush to buy something today. Just taking a peek at the market before heading off to my next job."

"And what sort of job are we talking about?" Rogue asked. "Given the rumors in town, you must fancy yourself a hunter."

"Sometimes, whenever I feel like hunting."

The goblin was thumbing through the coarse, semi-brittle pages with care. Each piece of parchment was written by hand in ink. A few sheets included a rough sketch of the home's layout too.

"Got any land up for grabs?"

"Sure thing." Rogue grabbed an unmarked wooden divider, taking them to the next section of properties.

"What part of town are you looking for? Far off, like the tribe estates? Right here in the center of town? Or do you want to meet in the middle, saving a bit of money outside of the town square while staying close enough for convenience?"
