A Bull-Headed Guest

As the early morning sun climbed the sky, more people started strolling through town. Be it on foot, which was the case for most, or with a beast-drawn wagon, which was the case for the passing caravans rushing into town and leaving before nightfall to camp outside town limits.

In particular, four oxen-drawn wagons traversed the town's center, slowed by traffic while going around the pop-up market.

These were the largest covered wagons around. Two bull-headed guards marched on either side of each wagon.

In the middle of that caravan, a big, black carriage was pulled along by a duo of large draft horses with four marching guards. Aside from some golden trims along the windows and door, the carriage's design was more practical than outstanding.

The four wagons and the carriage soon crossed the center of town, continuing north until they reached a guarded gate.

Without a word, all four guards cleared the path for the caravan.
