Chapter 10, Silver Light Whip!

Swift as thunder, quick as lightning.

Everything was accomplished in the blink of an eye.

From the moment Phoenix gradually lured Bian Zhenxin away from the encirclement of the Grey Robed Apostles and toward the large tree where Tang Fei was hiding, to the moment she suddenly raised her knee to strike Bian Zhenxin's vital point, rendering him incapacitated with intense pain and his mental consciousness at a standstill, unable to either dodge or utter a warning, Tang Fei leapt down.

Seizing the opportunity, he aimed for the kill, plunging the sharp blade of his Dog Leg Knife downwards, fiercely into the crown of his head.

Without a word exchanged or even a glance communicated, the cooperation between the two was perfectly seamless.

Phoenix knew what Tang Fei wanted, so she did everything he hoped she could achieve, even adding an unusually brilliant performance.

It was like an actress auditioning, where the director wanted a performance worth seventy points, but the girl aimed straight for an Oscar.

Tang Fei did not disappoint Phoenix, as after her successful strike, he immediately sprang forward, swiftly dealing with Bian Zhenxin, the big boss.

Not just anyone could become one of the Black Robes…

It wasn't until then that Tang Fei's body gently touched the ground.

Crunch!

The animal-skin boots on his feet pressed against the soft grass, making a sandy sound. Tang Fei blinked at Phoenix and then, with a brilliant smile, looked toward Bian Zhenxin, who was kneeling on the ground with a dagger still thrust into his head.

"Don't you think he looks ridiculous?"

"...."

Phoenix inwardly took a sharp breath, once again feeling the chill from the boy's horrifying nature.

He had just stabbed someone through the crown with a dagger, and now, with the Dog Leg Knife still in the man's head, he was already launching a taunting attack.

Are you worried he's dying too slowly or concerned he's not dead yet?

Phoenix could guarantee with a slap on her solid chest that neither of these things was possible.

Bian Zhenxin's eyes were wide open, his pupils dilated, and blood was oozing from his facial orifices.

The remaining consciousness let him hear Tang Fei speaking, yet he couldn't respond.

"Who is he?"

"How did he get here?"

"I'm dying…"

-------

Bian Zhenxin's mind was filled with too many questions and regrets.

Oh, and a dagger…

Because he was facing away from Tang Fei, he still couldn't turn around at this moment. He recognized the voice as somewhat familiar but couldn't see Tang Fei's true face, which filled him with regret and resentment.

He died with his eyes open!

"Kick him!" Tang Fei kindly suggested.

"Hmm?" Phoenix was puzzled.

Why kick a dying man?

"Kick him!" Tang Fei urged, saying, "Quickly, there's not much time…"

Still bewildered, but under Tang Fei's direction, Phoenix kicked Bian Zhenxin in the chest.

Bang!

Bian Zhenxin's body fell straight back to the ground, his face looking up at the sky.

Tang Fei brought his smiling face closer, waved at Bian Zhenxin, and greeted him, "Lord Divine Envoy, we meet again."

"Pfft!"

Bian Zhenxin's mouth started to spray blood, blood splattering everywhere.

"Pfft!"

"Pfft…"

-----

Bian Zhenxin couldn't stop bleeding.

Tang Fei pointed at Bian Zhenxin and said to Phoenix, "Look, old friends are always happy to see each other…"

"..."

Phoenix stiffly nodded, but felt a bone-chilling fear.

This devil!

The Grey Robed Apostles didn't react until then; their leader was killed in an extremely humiliating way.

They couldn't understand how someone in Henshan Gathering Area dared to oppose their Flame Shrine.

Even more baffling was how someone dared to strike at one of the Black Robes... Didn't they understand what that meant?

Because it was so sudden and so shocking, they were at a loss as to how to react.

"Kill! Kill them!" Finally, a Grey Robe shouted.

"Kill them, avenge our leader!"

"Brothers, take them down... it's either them or us..."

------

A group of people pulled out swords, spears, and even giant axes from their waists or bosoms and, howling, charged towards Tang Fei and Phoenix.

Boom...

A loud noise erupted.

All that could be seen was a plump mass of flesh...

Oh, it was a person.

Little Fatty, with a tree trunk as thick as a thigh and several meters long in his hands, charged forward. With a powerful sweep, he created a fierce gust and sent the Grey Robes flying, instantly dissipating their gathered momentum.

Little Fatty didn't stop there. He lifted the tree and heavily slammed it down on the head of a Grey Robe man who was trying to get up from the ground, roaring angrily, "That's for hitting my brother... That's for hitting my brother..."

It was alright for them to hit him because he was tough-skinned.

But they shouldn't hit Tang Fei, because he was his family, his elder brother.

He remembered grudges and sought revenge.

Crack!

The bones in that Grey Robe man's body were all smashed.

Bang!

Using the tip of the tree, he hit another spear-wielding Grey Robe man in the chest and roared, "You hit my brother's face, I remember that..."

The Black Robe man's body was sent flying by the force.

Tang Fei felt somewhat embarrassed by Little Fatty's shouting and explained to Phoenix, "Actually, it wasn't a real hit... just a graze..."

Getting hit in the face is quite embarrassing, shouting about it like that makes it even more so.

"I know," Phoenix nodded in acknowledgment.

She chose to believe Tang Fei unconditionally, even if he said that the earth's sky was blue, water was sweet, and the earth wasn't round...

If she didn't believe, she forced herself to believe. She couldn't change Tang Fei, but she could definitely change herself.

To live! There's nothing more important than living!

Tang Fei pulled his Dog Leg Knife from Bian Zhenxin's head and, slicing the throat of a Gray Robed Apostle who had just charged at him, yelled, "Let's get started too."

Phoenix had claimed she was in the Imperial Qi Realm, and although Tang Fei was somewhat skeptical,

True strength is shown through action.

If it was a lie, he would demand more money.

If it was true, wouldn't she be a great hand in a fight?

Freebies are sweet and sour, let alone such a handy combatant for free?

Or perhaps, in that distant planet, the Imperial Qi Realm might not be considered very powerful, but in this collapsed civilization of Wasteland, the Imperial Qi Realm was extraordinary, rare, and the top masters in the whole Blue Star were scarce.

Phoenix then pulled at her waist, and a black phoenix-shaped beast head appeared in her hand.

"What is this thing?" Tang Fei glanced at it from the corner of his eye, then curled his lip, showing a look of disdain.

Can this thing kill people?

Smash people to death with a beast head?

Whoosh!

Phoenix pressed on the phoenix-shaped handle, and a beam of silver light shot out from the mouth of the phoenix.

Silver Light Whip!

Swoosh!

With a crack of the whip, the silver light flared up, and the Grey Robed Apostle rushing at her was cut into two halves.

There wasn't any blood, not even time to bleed.

At the same time, another Grey Robe man lunged at her.

As is well known, whips are long-range weapons. If an enemy gets close, one would immediately be in trouble.

Phoenix, calm and seemingly with an air of aloof elegance,

The silver whip in her hand quickly contracted to a third of its previous length and suddenly transformed into a short spear, stabbing fiercely into the chest of the Grey Robe man.

Silently, a round hole appeared in the chest of the Grey Robe man.

"Damn..."

Tang Fei's eyes widened.

Phoenix's Silver Light Whip shone brilliantly, switching between striking, stabbing, lengthening, and shortening, now a short spear, now a long whip, unpredictable in its transformations.

What man wouldn't want to own such a magical treasure?
