Chapter Fifteen - Dungeon Break (PRT2)

"Earth mages fall back from the front lines, tankers to the front!" A fluid movement was made and the exhausted magic users with free from the front line.

Their job was a simple yet tiring one, they had to make a multiple trenches, wide enough that small monsters won't be able to jump over and deep enough the won't be able to climb out.

It was a simple job that seemed odd from a common perspective, but given a strategic perspective it seems a lot more practical.

Those with tanker skills ran to the front line and braced themselves with the shield.

"Titan's Howl!" A long line of tanks roared in unison.

Titan's howl is a 3star skill that every one who dream of becoming a tank aim to get.

A muddy green aura illuminated the battlefield and the roar of the front lines reverberated throughout.

I stood beside Rochelle and Ellen who both seemed excited for the upcoming unslaught of monsters that tore through the open plains.

The skill of the tankers drew the attention of the monsters causing those who were lazily strolling to take on a more serious demeanor and charge at the tanks.

The small grunt like mob fell into the trenches one after the other in their pursuit after the stationary tanks.

Mages who wielded other elements and attack spells began to unleash their barrage of attack spells at the more enormous and slow pasted monsters.

The strategy is to trap the more annoying and agile monsters in the trenches and mages would then focuse their spells on the more tanks monsters who dispite lacking in agility they made do for in in brute force and body build.

The meele attackers would now focus on taking down the small fries that escaped from the trenches by climbing on the other monsters.

This strategy of the weakening the monsters was a slow and steady process that would weigh heavily against which side was the first to be exhausted, an all out battle of attrition.

"Mooo-ve itttt!" A voice resonated throughout the battle field and almost everyone diverted the gaze towards the source.

What was seen was Ellen charging through the crowd with a twelve foot two handed great sword in her hand.

She held the sword by the hilt and had the blade extended behind her as she charged forward blindly.

As she approached the first trench she jumped about 40 meters into the air while still logging her massive great sword in tow.

"Mee-teor Impact!" She then held the great sword above her head and the aura around her body became a muddy copper hue that the transferred from her body to her great sword.

The sword the sent out shockwaves as it began to pulsate, the pulsating blade then started increasing in size with each pulse.

The sword that was twelve feet long and three feet wide was now almost two hundred feet long and one hundred feet wide.

Ellen then tightened her grip as the pulsing sent shockwaves that began to rip her garment with each pulse, she then used her insane strength to bring down the giant sword atop the crowd of monsters that froze at the crazy site about to unfold before them.

"Kaiser's Detonation!… Another wave of aura emerged from her body with a crimson hue, a deep crimson that made her aura look even thicker than coagulated blood.

The aura rant rampant around her like a raging flame before condensing into a small ball above her head, the glowing crimson ball then floated along her sword that was still midswing and stopped right at the tip of the sword about to hit the ground.

As the sword impacted the earth, the dark crimson ball burst open into a flash of bright orange hue that sent out a burst. A burst of rampant energy so massive it created a shockwave that the entire army of adventurers was wiped of their feet.

An ear wracking explosion followed by a devastating earthquake shortly after.

Everyone's ears popped simultaneously and a wave of radiation hit as the blinding light from the explosion caused everyone to cover their eyes in a rush, before long what stood before us was an enormous mushroom cloud which rivaled those seen during nuclear war back on earth.

A small figure burst from the cloud and flew towards the adventurers side of the field, it was a figure bathed in smoke from the mushroom cloud.

"Sheena!" I shouted her name in a panic and sheathed my sword running towards the direction the smoky figure was heading towards.

"Wall of the priestess!" An 12ft translucent pink wall appeared from thin air right before me, I smiled when I realized Sheena understood my call.

The wall then slanted to a thirty degrees angle and the surface became rugged enough for me to temporarily grip onto it with my feet.

I then used the wall Sheena created as a foothold and began to charge up the wall at top speed until I was in direct route of the flying comet of smoke.

I used my foot hold to boost my self and jump towards the coment catching it in my arms it was Ellen who had lost control of her body mid air because she lacked a foot hold and had been blown back by her own skills.

"You okay?… are you injured?" I quickly inquired while still holding her mid air.

"That's a question you should ask after we have landed. Who jumps to save someone without thinking of a way to land dummy?"

I got a reply I'd least expect from Ellen she was often times the most calm and somewhat collected member of our group who tries to stop all forms of negativity but here she was speaking like a badass gyaru bully.

I'd expect this behavior from Rochelle not Ellen. A crimson hue then appeared around her body then vanished momentarily and her usual muddy copper hue appeared then disappeared again.

"Oh my… it seems we are about to fall to our doom? Huh oh Sai when did you get all the way up here?" The usual Ellen then returned out of nowhere which came as a shock and I almost threw Ellen from my arms.
