Jumping up from his sleep, george who was still in the void, inside the energy ball had his eyes open wide with shock and horror, never in his life did he ever expect to see such gruesome and disgusting things and the smell only made it worse.
All the bodies of people both young and old, hacked to pieces and some of them had there guts hung all over, the chill in trepidation in his heart was almost enough for him to black out.
[was that a dream?....] he thought to himself.
[no, that was too real to be a dream... and i remember everything, even.... that voice] his thoughts were going at a rapid pace, trying to put everything together.
[{remember}] a voice popped into his head.
the voice was so soft that it comforted him to the point he didn't find it strange to hear it.
"ok, i will" he said, sitting up properly, he had laid down previously after glimpsing the flow of times and then fell asleep right after because his brain didn't have that much power to process what he saw.
...................................Time.....................................
Under a dimly lit lantern inside an old broken down light house, Quinn, a young teen rested for shelter.
'Shiver, shiver', the young boy trembled feeling the stinging bight of the chilly night wind that flowed through all the cracks and holes in the old wooden walls.
"I wonder if anyone will think about me, hell I wonder if they even realize that I'm not there?!" He said looking at the slight movements of his shadow, for as long as he can recall, he only had one true friend, one thing that never betrayed him and listened to all his secrets and kept them, it was his shadow.
'creak' the sound of old wood being shaken by the violently chilling winds could be heard, almost as if the wind was threatening to remove his one place to be safe from it and all the terrors that lurk in the darkness of the deep slumbering giant which is the cold and unforgiving night.
.........Another place same timeframe.........…
'kekekeh' a sickening sound of hoarse and raspy laughter echoed through the ally as a tall, slender man walked slowly, holding a lump of flesh which oozed blood as his whole hand was soaked in it, 'drip, drip' the sound of the dripping blood was like cannon fire to the few people the man approached with light silent steps, as if his feet never touched the ground.
"Boss what should we do with the bodies when you're done? If we put them in the red dragon territory the cops will take care of that problem for us, two bird's one stone." A question came from behind the tall slender man in a deep voice, turning his head the slender man said, "we will use them properly, each part has its purpose so I won't let anything go to waste, this is how we hunters respect the dead" with a cold indifference on his face like a supreme monarch which cares not for the dust on his path, after which he continued his slow pace towards the three individuals left that he referred to as prey, "do not worry, I will make this as painful as I possibly can, hehehe" laughing loudly making the already fearful 'prey' wish to simply die instantly to be saved from the horrors that await them.
.........…Real time Quinn's lodging......…..
'Drip…Drip' drops of rain started to fall from the sky, slowly the buildup of light pats of sound became louder and the cold unforgiving and merciless wind tore, the drops became heavier.
'Creak, creak, snap' pieces of wood on where Quinn resided started to creak and break, splintering pieces of wood fired off from where the cracks had pressure building because of the intense unassuming wind of the night.
Luckily, the coat which Quinn had on was quite sturdy, it was a coat made out of the skin of a bear, with its thick fur and durable skin, the splinters which shot towards him could not penetrate it leaving only a light "puff" on the coat.
Feeling something bounce on the coat he wrapped himself in, Quinn gripped the coat tighter hoping that this terrible night will all go away and the soothing sun would rise.
While the cold winds blew and the harsh rain fell, the little lanterns fire stood, ever burning almost as it to signify its desire to give light to this child in this place this time in this unforgiving world.
............Time skip to the morning.........….
Beams of sun poured through the cracks of the wall and the broken windows, illuminating the once dark room of the lighthouse where Quinn was, the floor was wet and the boards and cloth around the place were all damp from the wind and rain of the night, Quinn who was laying on a piece of plank and covered with the hide of the bear was safe from the getting soaked but same couldn't be said for the little lantern which was now devoid of its fierce yet gentle and warm flame, water dripped off the bottom of the little lantern onto the floor which echoed heavily because of the eerie silence which permeated though the whole room, and like a thunderclap to the ears it woke Quinn from his slumber and the horrid night he had.
His eyes were foggy and droopy, his skin was pale as though the vitality had been drained from it, his hair disheveled and fuzzy, cracks formed on his lips as if he had been strolling in the desert without any water, when he finally sat upright his bones popped and cracked as if to tell that he hasn't moved in a decade, raising his hands he rested it on his neck and gave it a small creak 'crack pop, creak pop' with two shifts of his hands he popped the creak in his neck looked down and said to his shadow, "I'm hungry lets go get some food, what do you feel like, fish?" but there was no reply from his shadow, only the sound of dripping water was heard, "alright I agree, fish it is." slowly standing up Quinn rested the bear hide on the plank and stretched his whole body before walking out of the old broken place.
The morning was bright and the sun was blinding.
