65. Carter

The door to Orland's office opened. This time he was behind his desk, wearing a russet-colored shirt, surrounded by several of his friends and smoking blue smoke.

When our eyes met, I noticed that he was looking at me with a certain pride, as if he had finally achieved his goal.

Behind us, I noticed several of my old companions and some unknown faces. They stood motionless, as if waiting for the right moment to act.

I could face them, we were outnumbered, but I didn't care, the trick was to catch the coward Orland and have him order the release of Zac.

"You didn't take long at all" Orland said without stuttering. Expelling blue smoke and releasing it, forming hoops in the air.

"Where's Zac?" I asked.

"Wow you're desperate Carter, we should catch up and plan our future, together."

I started to approach Orland but then one of his friends pulled out a gun and pointed it at my chest. Orland let out a laugh at my cowardice.
