The morning of the move finally arrived, bringing with it a mix of emotions that oscillated between anticipation and apprehension. Glen joined me to help me in this process that seemed to be leading me toward what I feared would be my new "prison": my new apartment. Memories of the small happiness I used to feel in my old home were overshadowed by the uncertainty of this change.

With boxes in hand, Glen and I dove into the task of packing my belongings. Each item we placed in the box seemed to carry with it the burden of the decision my father had made in search of safety.

As we moved along, Aaron and Carter joined us as we began loading the boxes into Glen's truck.

Aaron and Carter, with their determined help, turned the moving process into more than just a transition. Every step we took toward the new apartment resonated with the feeling of leaving behind not only a physical place, but also a stage of my life marked by the threat of Jon.
