"The wind feels really good up here"
By now, it has been twelve years since i reincarnated in the lands between as Godwyn the Golden.
Thanks to my time living here, i now know many things that remained a mystery when it was just a game.
Firts of all, the timeline is different that what i originally thought, i used to believe that Godwyn was born after the golden order defeated the fire giants and the dragons of farum azula, much to my surprise, they are both still present and in constant clash.
This is a time at the start of the golden order, when leyndell was still a new addition to the lands and many kingdoms existed alongside it.
Along the factions that inhabit the lands between, the golden order is the strongest, but the others don't fall behind.
Liurnia of the lakes and the academy of raya lucaria, ruled by the Carian royal family.
Stormveil, reigned by the storm king and it's hawks and knight servants.
Farum Azula, kingdom of dragons and their blessed beasts servants.
The eternal cities, not yet buried underground and trying to make their own lords
The mountaintops of the giants which right now is in the middle of a fight between the fire giants, ice dragons and the Zamor kingdom.
Above all of them, the one who interests me the most is not a kingdom per say, but a cult which takes refuge in the divine towers, still not claimed by the order and it's demigods.
The Godskins, and their Gloam-eyed queen are not defeated yet, and are as a fact, the most troublesome.
Through there is still mystery surrounding them, they are ancient and earned they're named by skinning the lords of the era's prior to that of the erdtree...but i do not know who those lords were or what outer god they served.
"Everything is so confusing..."
The book I'm currently reading contains information of the lands between but it doesn't say much about the godskins, mainly because they are a mystery for all the factions and kingdoms.
Maybe i should go to one of the divine towers by myself to find them, maybe i could even meet the queen in person.
Yes, that's totally not a bad idea.
"Lord Godwyn, please come down from there, is dangerous!"
As i look down from the branch of the erdtree I'm currently resting at to see the one shouting at me, i find a young maiden of long black hair and green eyes.
I'm very much acquainted with that girl as she has been my caretaker since i was a child.
"I will come down when i finish reading this book Edina, is not really dangerous for me"
I mean, I'm a demigod, a being capable of things beyond logic, i may be young but a simple fall like this wouldn't hurt me
Even though she should also know this...just why are you trying to climb the damn tree?
"Hey Edina, you are going to hurt yourself"
I'll give her credit, she climbed up pretty high, but her arms are built like a twig and she is already trembling like a child left in a snowfield
"Lord Godwyn your well being is more important than my own, so please come do-!"
And just like that she lost her grip and started falling rapidly to the grown.
"Just what the hell am i going to with this girl?"
I left my book on the branch and jumped down the tree, catching the young maiden in the air and landing soundly on the ground, right next to the entrance of the tree.
"Aren't you supposed to take care of me? I'm always saving you instead...ah, she passed out"
Let's just put her down and let her rest.
"What's is the meaning behind this commotion, my child?"
My mother, Queen Marika suddenly appeared before me, around her were many of the nobles of the capital alongside champions and generals of the order, gathered to discuss matters of importance. My father however, wasn't present, as he wasn't in the capital in the current moment.
Before turning into a site of reunion for the demigods in the future, the elden throne worked as a place were meeting of importance were held, from architectural plans to military campaigns were discussed in here and discarded or approved by the queen. Alas, i wasn't allowed in here, at least not now, so I'm in quite the problem.
I would try to lie, but i believe that being honest would be better, after all i wasn't trying to spy or anything similar.
"I was reading a book atop a branch of the tree, dear mother"
Some of the people present frowned a little at my words, but none voice their discontent. My mother on the other side did not look angered, but a little irritated.
"Mine son, thou are always causing trouble"
She sighed at the words left her mouth, approaching me with a tired but still affectionate expression on her face, maybe my current antics have cause her more than one headache.
"For now go back to thy room, i shall talk to thee later"
"Understood, dear mother"
Taking the unconscious Edina on my arms, i walked away of the throne room, stop at it's entrance to take a glance at one of the person attending the meeting.
Radagon, a champion of the golden order as many others, his presence in the meeting was a mystery for all of the present except for two people, Queen Marika and I.
Though he is supposedly the other half of my mother and he is charismatic, i do not like him, nor do I like the future position he will held after my father exile.
Glancing at him, i whispered with disdain.
"I shall keep mine eye on thou..."
