Shards of the Broken Heart

With the onset of the final clash, the plans were set into motion.

With Anais's informants and spies, it didn't take long for the rebel army to carve a path through the emperor's loyal forces and put forth an offensive on the royal guards fortifying the city walls.

These spies also presented us with an excellent surprise as they were able to command a significant part of the emperor's army. With the charisma and schemes, they were able to make that part of the army surrender to the rebels.

They spread the news of the prisoners of war in the rebel camp being treated generously. They also besmirched the emperor by lauding his heinous crimes against the common public. Although there was much false information mixed with the truth, their manipulation was successful, leading to the rebel army gaining a major boost in morale.
