Shards of the Broken Heart

With the Minotaur dead, a new change occurred in the atmosphere of the step as it was immediately filled with stellar energy, giving us the chance to absorb it.

Though we hadn't used much stellar energy, giving up on such an opportunity, no matter how insignificant, should be considered foolish as no one knew how hard the upcoming challenges would be.

After refilling the stellar energy reserves, we stepped forth and climbed up the next step.

Just before I took the step, I looked back and found a similar Minotaur being conceived from the small shining particles.

With this discovery, I understood that the beasts were not real but imitations created by the 'rainbow stairs' as a test for the ones attempting to refine it.

The challenge was getting harder with each step. And each beast standing at the 'screening step' was stronger than the previous one.
