The birds flew by the distance and then Xuan went on his way toward where the chaos was. He immediately stopped after seeing that there was a Basilisk that was corroded with acid on its back.

"Maybe it was attacked by an Abysmal snake," Xuan muttered.

He immediately went to see it and it was on the verge of dying. He then saw that the predator was already on his back. An Abysmal snake.

Xuan was perplexed and then drew his sword. The enemy then shrieked and Xuan dodged its attack. It used its venomous bite on the Basilisk and then it was poisoned. Xuan then stepped back as he was waiting for the right time to attack.

The Abysmal snake and the Basilisk then went into a power struggle. The basilisk clawed the snake's face and then went to bite it. The snake was caught on the neck but it was still alive.

It then used its skill Constriction and the Basilisk was grappled. The basilisk then used its skill thorny bramble back that made the snake let go of its grip.

They soon let go of each other.

The snake then bites the basilisk once again and its poison grew stronger. The Basilisk retaliated and then bit off the body of the Abysmal snake.

The fight was bloody and the two of them have grown weaker. Xuan then went towards them and then stabbed each other's foreheads.

"Two down,"

He immediately saw the Basilisk's monster essence floating and then harvested it. He immediately integrated it inside his soul realm and then another monster was added.

Bite skill, Grow scales skill, Spit goo, Thorny bramble back, Body armor skill, and camouflage skill was integrated.

Basilisk has tough defenses that can nullify damages!

Xuan then wiped his sweat and then went to find more monsters. On the far side of the forest located on the west where the Abysmal wolves were mostly found, he traversed the forest and then met them earlier than expected.

They were already surrounding him. They were hunting in packs and so Xuan was immediately on a good path. After entering their territory, they immediately sniffed his scent. Making him detected earlier.

Xuan then drew his sword and then the battle soon spewed forth. They attacked with their fangs and Xuan slashed them one by one. Using his murim martial path, he slashed them with fierce slashes.

They were cleaved in half and others were the same. Xuan then used his Elemental martial path and then used the ice element. Sending ice spikes at the wolves and then bursting them with flames. The flames scorched the ground as well as the wolves in a line. They were eradicated immediately.

With a smile on his face, Ainz then gathered the monster's essence and hastily integrated it into his soul realm.

Bite, Sniff and hear, Hunter kill, Shadow travel, Grow body, Howl, Growl, and Rage skill acquired.

The next path was the Howling cave where he could find the screeching bats and the demonic spiders.

He immediately arrived at the place and the howling cave greeted him with a whooshing sound.

He entered the cave and heard its call inside. A screech of bats was heard and also some spiders screeching. They seemed to be talking with each other.

It was then, the monsters wailed inside the cave. Warning the others that there was an intruder in their cave.

The cave became stirred with turmoil and the denizens inside came rushing towards him.

Xuan then was attacked nonstop by screeching bats. He immediately Integrated with the Abysmal snake and gained its attacks and skills.

He spat acid breath at them and they all went spreading away from his attack. Some were hit on their wings and they went flapping down.

Screeching as they struck the floor.

They used [Leech life] at Xuan and then he was leeched. Making them regenerate their wings and weakening him a bit.

Xuan then used [Blew poison mist] and then they all were poisoned. He immediately used [Spring bite] as a spirit of a snake appeared and curled into a spring-like form and then attacked in a burst. Biting three at the same time.

He immediately saw more bats and he was attacked in all directions. Only making them eaten and swallowing them whole in the process. Their numbers diminished immediately and then they all retreated after they couldn't take on the monster they were facing.

Soon, the Demonic spiders appeared and attacked. They were fast and silent. Attacking in ambush. Ainz then drew his sword and slashed fervently. They used poison bite and Xuan evaded.

They spat webs at him and he was in a bind. They were tricky to kill. Many of them were spitting webs and Ainz used Paralysis breath. Making them paralyzed for a short period of time.

"A chance!"

Xuan immediately slashed them all apart. Making him cull their numbers. They soon were able to move and then they retreated into the depths of the cave. Luckily, there was the monster souls' essence that was left.

And so Xuan harvested it and integrated it into his soul. Absorbing it into his soul.

Xuan then exited after a good reap. His next destination was the bee hive in the east. With it just being near, he immediately saw them. They have red and black stripes with them and their sting could kill a person.

Xuan then was attacked immediately by the whole swarm and he ran. He used earth spikes on one and then immediately grabbed its monster soul essence. Escaping immediately. Panting, he was greatly exhausted and then successfully have what he needed to grab. Integrating it into his soul realm.

Crippling sting, Rapid thrust, Haste, Rapid reaction, Paralyzing needle, Speed flight, Call of swarm skill acquired.
