The Great Migration

Xuan gave them food but he was not yet finished. He bribed each Patriarch to give their slaves and beggars for him and gave them a huge sum of money. Well, he transported them into his realm immediately.

Xuan then contacted the Alchemist guild and converted his money to construction materials and food. He also hired many workers in different fields.

A great migration happened and it sure news to tell in every tavern of Venafar. The news spread like wildfire in every man's mouth. Thanks to the Alchemist association's spreading rumors.

"You know that the Young master of the Bloodsworn realm was recruiting many beggars and letting them eat! I am amazed that even the slaves are made into common citizens and even given a roof to sleep on," said one beggar.

"Really? We must go and see for ourselves! We can live better there," said another beggar to him.

They all said good news and they were all having fun while discussing it. They soon made preparations for their migration.

Meanwhile, located inside the slaver market. The place was dark and many weak groans were heard. Clanking of metals as well as several coughing of men.

One man was hastily rummaging through his papers and documents and placing them in his bag. His breaths were in sheer fright and panic. His face was sweaty and he was also muttering gibberish.

"They're here! They're here! I must dispose of all the evidence at once!" he muttered.

He heard his men one by one screaming as the sound of swords cutting down flesh followed. They soon became silent after a few seconds had passed.

After placing all the documents, several shadows appeared from the dark. All were armed and had black masks on their faces. They have a fitting black garment with hooded heads.

"Who are you? Why are you here? You will surely regret this as our boss will eliminate you all!" he screamed.

"Tell them that the Black flag deemed them as a blight in this society. Oh, I forgot to tell you this, You will be dead sooner than you thought. You can't carry on with your task," the masked man said to him, "The dead do not speak,"

Slash!

The head then flung into the air and the head rolled to the ground. They then left in a flash. Like a shadow that swam into the darkness.

They then met several guards and attacked them. A fight broke out and they were eliminated immediately.

Slash! Slash! Swing!

The guards were all down immediately without a fight. They traveled to the darkness and put off the lights along the way. They felt like the embodiment of death themselves.

They soon put fire on the building and then went outside. A hooded man was waiting outside the building and watched them kneel before him.

"The black flag has accomplished its mission," their leader said.

"Good, here's your reward," he handed them a pouch of gold, and then they left dashing into the darkness.

The Black Flag—the mercenary group of the Bloodsworn family. Trained by Xuan's late grandfather from a young age. They were the criminal hunters of their family and all possessed great killing capabilities. Disciplined and effective killers.

Xuan then left the slave markets in ruins and rescued many slaves in the process. Also, they kill all the staff of their shady businesses to hinder them from operating. They would not operate soon enough with the damage that Xuan did.

Xuan then transported the beggars and slaves to his realm. With many people that migrated, he would purchase more construction materials ahead of time. Also, food for them as they traveled.

They traveled towards the Bloodsworn realm and all were looking forward to what their fate would be there. Xuan recruited caravan guards and then secured their carts with many construction materials. They can't let thievery happen when they are traveling.

They all traveled east where the location of his realm. Into the mountain pass and rivers. Setting camps and handing food rations. Xuan then counted them all and they were at least a thousand. Many joined their caravan along the way.

He also thought that the food was enough for them to last for several days. Also, they bought a herd of swine and cattle for food consumption. If they survived the trip, they could be raised on farms in the future.

Xuan then saw the vast number of people that he brought with him. He purchased it with the money he got. Also, some joined as they wanted to have a better life. A dream of raising from hunger and poverty. They all have great hopes and expectations that they feel deep inside.

With their caravan traveling east, they arrived at the realm of Bloodsworn. The land was surrounded by mountains and there was only one way in one way out. The land was fertile with lushes of vacant fields. There were rivers too and forests inside his realm.

His land was blessed by such. But for the village, it was surviving.

They saw that the village was decent enough. With newly built houses, they all thought that they were having a new home to have. A place to rest for their tired self.

Xuan promised that he would give them freedom. And here it was. They soon made camps and rested for the night. They all were given food by Xuan's butler and Xuan hadn't slept at all that night. He planned ahead of his days here.

He planned what he would do in the meantime and also what buildings he would like to construct. All were planned as he had written in his journal. With everything done in their proper places, he assessed that they would need food and shelter the most. And so Xuan assigned many of them to such jobs in the meantime.

They all worked and got paid. They were also given their own homes that Xuan constructed for them. Alas, the villagers became healthy and they all had their jobs. Making them have a satisfying life for now.
