Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue

As Dustin managed to pull Riley to safety, the scene unfolded with a mix of relief and unintended spectacle. The zombies, relentless in their pursuit, tore at Riley's shirt during the struggle, leaving him partially exposed.

Elisa, momentarily taken aback, stopped in her tracks, her gaze fixed on the unexpected display. Alyson, on the other hand, rolled her eyes at the situation, perhaps expressing a blend of exasperation and amusement at the bizarre turn of events.

As Elisa stood there momentarily frozen, her attention inadvertently drawn to the unexpected display involving Riley's torn shirt, Troy, seizing the opportunity to inject a moment of levity, couldn't resist making a mocking remark.

"Nice view, Elisa! Didn't know you were into zombie fashion shows," Troy jeered, a smirk playing on his face. but he doesnt stop there,

"Roses are red, Violets are blue, I use my dildo, while thinking of you,"

The comment, intended to break the tension with humor. Elisa, caught off guard, shot Troy a brief, disapproving glance, while the rest of the group reacted with a mix of laughter, eye-rolls, and a collective acknowledgment of the absurdity that had momentarily eclipsed the more serious matters at hand.

Reacting to Troy's insensitive comment, Jett, with a sense of swift justice, didn't hesitate to take action. Without saying a word, he swung his hand and delivered a solid smack to the back of Troy's head.

The resounding thud echoed in the hallway, temporarily silencing the group. Troy, caught off guard by the unexpected retaliation, rubbed the back of his head with a mixture of surprise and perhaps a newfound understanding that such comments wouldn't go unchecked.

In the aftermath of the recent struggles and tensions, the group quickly shifted their focus back to the immediate threat. Understanding the urgency, they rallied together, gathering furniture and any available materials to reinforce the barricade.

Tables, chairs, and any substantial items were repurposed to create a more robust defense against the relentless onslaught of the undead. The once-quiet hallway transformed into a hive of activity, with the group working in unison to fortify their position.

The once-reinforced barricade, strained by the relentless onslaught, finally gave way under the assault of military zombies. As the barricade crumbled, chaos erupted in the hallway. In the midst of the pandemonium, Delilah, quick to react, pushed Elisa to safety, shielding her from the imminent danger.

Tragically, Delilah found herself in the path of the ravenous military zombies. The horrifying scene unfolded as they descended upon her, leaving the group in shock and disbelief.

Troy, witnessing the dire situation, rushed to Delilah's side. With a desperate resolve, he fired shots into the mass of zombies, temporarily forcing them back. He held Delilah close, his actions driven by a mixture of grief, regret, and a desperate attempt to save someone he cared about.

"Troy, don't!" Dustin's voice pierced through the chaos.

The tragic turn of events continued as Delilah, having succumbed to the zombie infection, transformed into one of the undead. In a horrifying twist, she bit into Troy's throat.

Amidst the grim scene, a sudden and unexpected sound echoed through the hotel—a horn that seemed to emanate from within the building. The dissonant noise reached the ears of the zombies, prompting a collective retreat. The undead, momentarily disoriented, shuffled away from the compromised barricade, leaving behind a gruesome aftermath.

As the immediate danger subsided, Charles, Neil, and Mytia, who possessed mysterious powers, felt a surge of energy coursing through them. The air crackled with an otherworldly tension as their abilities acted up.

The sudden silence that followed the retreat of the zombies was shattered by a piercing scream from upstairs. Sapphire's distress echoed through the hotel, cutting through the air like a blade.

As the group reached Sapphire, the sight that unfolded before them was one of tragedy and inexplicable horror. Sapphire's hands and eyes glowed with an otherworldly purple light, an indication that her mind-reading powers had gone awry. In her arms, cradling her younger brother, the devastating consequences of her abilities manifested.

Her brother's eyes and ears bleeding, the group realized that Sapphire's uncontrolled telepathic surge had led to a catastrophic explosion within her brother's mind. The room became a scene of profound grief and shock as they witnessed the aftermath of an unintentional act that claimed a life.

Sapphire, her face etched with anguish, struggled to comprehend the consequences of her powers turning lethal. The purple glow in her hands and eyes flickered.

Jett, trying to make sense of the heartbreaking situation, approached Sapphire gently. His voice carried a mix of concern and curiosity as he asked, "Did you know you had these powers?"

Sapphire, her gaze fixed on the lifeless form of her younger brother, nodded softly. The weight of the admission, coupled with the guilt and grief etched on her face, spoke volumes about the internal struggles she had likely faced in keeping this aspect of herself hidden.

The revelation of Sapphire's powers hung in the air.

Dustin, taking on the grim responsibility of tallying the casualties, spoke with a somber tone, "We've lost four. Caprice, Delilah, Troy, and Lucas."

As Dustin goes to tell Catherine he hears crying. Dustin, concerned by Mytia's cries and the unusual glow in her hands and eyes, rushed to the scene. The sight that unfolded before him was both perplexing and distressing. Mytia, in a state of anguish, seemed to be experiencing a surge in her abilities, hearing the voices of animals and creatures around her.

Reggie, understanding Mytia's distress, held her close in a comforting embrace. The room, filled with Mytia's cries and the mysterious glow, became a makeshift sanctuary where the group grappled with the complexities of their unique powers.

Catherine, displaying a pragmatic response, quickly went to the bathroom to mix medication for Mytia.

In a bid to address Mytia's distress and the unpredictable manifestation of her powers, Catherine took charge of the situation. She turned to Reggie with a firm command, "Hold her down, Reggie."

Reggie, understanding the urgency, gently but firmly held Mytia in place, offering both physical support and emotional reassurance. Meanwhile, Catherine retrieved the medication she had prepared, determined to help Mytia regain control over her abilities.

With practiced efficiency, Catherine poured the medication down Mytia's throat.

As Mytia succumbed to the effects of the medication and drifted into a peaceful slumber in Reggie's arms, Catherine turned her attention to Payton and Dustin. She gestured for them to follow her, leading them into the hall.

In the hallway, the air was thick with the weight of recent events and the mysteries that surrounded their group.

In the hushed corridor, Catherine turned her attention to Dustin, concern etched on her face. She asked, "Is everyone okay?"

Dustin, his expression reflecting the weight of recent events, began to recount the losses and the tragic circumstances that had unfolded. "We lost Caprice, Delilah, Troy, and Lucas," he explained somberly, each name a testament to the harsh realities of their world.

He continued, "And about Sapphire, she accidentally killed Lucas with her powers."

Catherine absorbed the information, her eyes reflecting a mix of sorrow and understanding. Concerned for the well-being of Neil and Charles, Catherine pressed further, "What about Neil and Charles? Have you checked on them?"

Dustin, realizing the oversight, shook his head, "No, I haven't. I've been dealing with the barricades and the casualties. I'll go check on them now."

Understanding the demands of managing the immediate threats and the aftermath, Catherine nodded, "Make sure they're okay. We need to ensure everyone is accounted for."
