Chapter 85: The System is Nervous!!!

On the table Keiran looked at the knife and fork in his hand and thought.

'Well, now I know what skill I want.' he saw Luna looking towards his back where the woman's aura just disappeared.

Keiran did not turn his head to not cause any suspicion, he could already see everything through her eyes. 

'She is gone.' Luna's cold voice echoed in his mind.he could feel her frustration and anger from sitting there.

'Don't worry' Keiran placed his hand over her's and added. 'We will get an opportunity to deal with her later. When the time arrives, you will be the one who will deal with her.' 

'Hehe~~' Luna's frown was replaced by a grin and with her hollow eyes she laughed with a sweet and innocent look.

Kriran shook his head while almost pitying the woman who tried to poison him. Almost~~ because she tried to do the same with Luna as well.

'System, what kind of poison is this?'

If the system was a sentient being it would have cursed its host for ignoring it until he needed something from it.

But one thing that the system understands is that for both the twins, nothing in this world matters more than each other.

[It's an Ether eating poison called Etherdrain Venom.]

Keiran raised his eyebrows hearing the name of the poison.

'what does it do?' Although he had a vague guess from hearing the name of the poison, he still asked for clarification.

[Etherdrain Venom: One of the most common low level venoms out there.

It has two features which makes it more deadly that most of the poisons even though it is a low level one.

One function of this poison is that once it enters the body of a person, it will start eating the ether energy of the victim. 

The process is so slow that the person does not realize they are poisoned until it's too late or they have good control over their energy. ]

Keiran's eyes widened upon receiving this information. Luna turned more determined to torture the crap ot of that bitch.

'What is the second function of this poison?' Keiran asked inwardly while twirling the fork on the plate.

[ The other function is that once the poison enters the body, it starts spreading inside of it and attaches itself to the nerve cells. Then as the time passes by it starts to dull these senses which lead to fatal flaws in a battle.]

'And you think this is a low level poison that is common? Are you kidding me? What is the deadliest poison like then?' Luna interjected in a mocking voice.

[The deadliest poison can wipe this entire planet as soon as it comes in contact with its surface.]

Hearing the plain reply from the system, Luna sweat dropped, although she could somehow feel that the system was being smug while sharing this information, she did not have time to address that.

Just like her Keiran was also shocked that there could be such a poison out there. Silence hung in the air, it was soon broken by the system which decided to continue.

[ This poison is a low level poison because, even though it has some serious effect it can be removed as easily.

You just need to find the poison once it enters your body.

This poison is easy to detect by people with sharp senses. ]

Keiran could understand why this poison is ranked as a low leveled one.

'It is still a deadly low leveled poison.' Luna added while Keiran nodded in agreement.

'So how can we remove it?' Keiran asked in curiosity as he looked at the piece of meat stuck on his fork and ate it.

Luna looked at him with worried eyes but still did not stop him.

[The usual way to remove this poison is either to eat a detoxification pill or remove the poison with your own ether.]

Keiran saw these detoxification pills in the shop of the system, even the kingdom's scientific research team was working on something similar to this. 

From what he knew they were making good progress too.

The pill as the name suggests detoxifies the poison inside the bodies. It is made using several mutated herbs and ingredients from the wild.

But from the system he came to know that there were several grades to these pills. For a. Low level poison grade one and grade two pills works the best.

Generally the grade one is enough but grade two can be even more thorough for the resilient poisons.

Even though he could understand the first method he could not get his head around the second one.

'How do you use ether to remove something that eats ether…?'

To his query the system answered it instantly.

[ This poison eats ether slowly, so by using a huge amount of ether on the area it is infected you can wash it away and release it from your skin pores along with the ether.]

'How many points did I waste on just detoxifying this poison just now?' hearing this response Keiran asked while gritting his teeths.

Luna's lips twitched as well hearing those words.

The system paused for a while before responding.

[ Eh!! Not much… Just a 1000 points for normal detoxification. ]

Keiran broke the fork in his hand hearing the response, attracting the attention of few people around them. 

Without caring about the rest he continued.

'I could have bought the grade one Detoxification pill for 200 points but instead I wasted 800 points for the same thing.'

[....Yes.. but this method is faster than the pill and is more reliable.]

The system responded while adding a reasoning to it.

'What?! Now you are pitching me a sale..?'

[No host I-]

Before the system could explain itself Keiran interjected.

'It's fine, I am just joking with you!!!'

Hearing Keiran's chuckle the system sighed in relief but his next words made him nervous.

'Don't use my points unnecessarily in the future.'

Hearing the sudden cold tone the system was getting nervous whether it was a joke or not.

It chose to stay silent and accept the words. 

Keiran and Luna continued their meals and got up to walk back to the room under everyone's eyes.

Among those eyes two pairs of eyes were particularly more attentive to their moves.

One of them was a boy of their age who was eating his meat while he thought inwardly.

'It seems he did not like the meat. Why did he still eat it then?'

The boy's eyes did not even register the presence of the girl walking beside Keiran and just followed him till he left the room.
