Long Haul

Demyan

I let out a heavy sigh before I opened the door of my suite. The air in it, despite the open balcony doors that let in the cool night sea breeze just felt as tense as that in the Rolls and I was really not prepared for it. It seemed to be a trend that whenever I came back to either Malia or Ethan we would get into a fight.

Clearly it meant I was the problem then because everyone was on my case these days.

"Malia," I called out as I walked further into the suite to the bedroom. I found her ferociously packing her clothes in one of the dresses and wiping away her falling tears. My heart fell when I saw her cry because the last thing I wanted was to make her upset. "I'm sorry."

She stilled for a second before she closed the drawer then turned to me. Her eyes were bloodshot and even though I could tell she was trying to act unbothered, she was. "Do you love me?"
