Little Brother

Demyan

Ethan fed me my popcorn as I cuddled into his side. A warm blanket wrapped around us as we watched our vintage movie on the projector. It reminded me of the times we would sit for hours in the mansion in the theatre room hogging the large projector screen for anyone else.

No one understood why we loved these movies so much but it was our thing. Ethan had exposed them to me when I was thirteen and I was visiting New Zealand. I remembered the day like it was yesterday.

I was terribly scrawny, lanky and I had braces. My fashion back then had been denim shorts, large hoodie, knee high socks with multi-colored converse sneakers; I blamed those on Vasilisa. She had somehow dragged me into her obsession with them and we always did everything together.
