The Toilet

Ethan

Demyan stared outside of the window with his back turned to me as I drove. He constantly wiped away his tears and I did not know what to do or what to say to make him feel better.

There was something I had said that had obviously ticked him off, but then again whenever we had a disagreement, I always said something wrong. Wilhelm was obviously the number one contributor to our differences and I felt like an idiot for bringing it up. Yet it could have been worse if they just showed up at my house without having warned Demyan.

Maybe I should have told him as soon as I knew they were coming a month ago, but I hoped I could shake them off like how I had been doing for the rest of the year. I had been avoiding telling Demyan about Wilhelm because I knew it was going to hurt him. It always hurt him and I started to doubt myself for still being friends with someone the love of my life absolutely hated.
