A Solution For His Problem

Larsen opened the cage with his own hand. The ancient metal groaned under his touch and the rusted latch clicked free.

Caedryn's eyes gleamed at the sound. He couldn't help but grin in admiration and excitement, the grin of someone who had waited far too long.

As the door creaked open, he stepped out slowly then straightening his back. Then he stretch his limbs like they hadn't moved in decades.

"Ahhh…" he breathed out, lifting his hands toward the dim crystal light, "Free… after all this time. You have no idea how good this feels."

Rama's eyes never left him. He watched every twitch and shift in the man's expression or body.

Rama turned slightly and looked at Shoji and Axel. A glance was all it took for them. The two nodded almost imperceptibly. They understood that they need to be ready and alert.

None of them trusted this man.
