Found Him

They kept moving through the compound, deeper into the rotten maze of rust and steel.

It felt like a tunnel that never ended. Narrow and suffocating. Its walls warped and eaten away by time.

Every step echoed with a hollow clang and the deeper they went, the thicker the air became. The scent of blood was no longer just a lingering taste in their mouths. It bled from the walls, poured from unseen cracks in the rusted metal, clinging to their every breath. It shows that so much blood had been shed here.

Then came the sound.

Not footstepso r voices but growls. Low ans animalistic at first. Then sharper. It sounds like human shrieks.

A moment later shadows burst from the darkness ahead, distorted silhouettes racing straight toward them.
