Berserk Beast.

All the six heirs quickly made their way towards the berserk beast.

The first one to arrive there was Ashley De Yoxalle, a thigh length silky black haired woman with obsidian black eyes.

She held her unsheathed rapier firmly with her gaze flitting around the view in front of which changed constantly as she zoomed past the trees.

Soon, a blackish brown blur flashed in front of her.

Shuddering, she halted her movements almost instantly as she tried to block the incoming blow instinctively.

'My rapier won't be able to hold up against the blunt impact, I should deflect it.' She analyzed. Though she didn't know what the black blur was, she knew if she didn't block it, it would hit her, hence she analyzed before the impact.

She brought her left leg close to her right, joined her legs and slightly moved her grip forward as she decided where the black blur's impact should collide on her rapier.

BWHOOOSH-!

The BAM sound of the impact changed drastically as the impact's force was redirected off of her right shoulder.

'An opening.' She exclaimed inwardly as she slightly loosened her grip and made it seem like her sword had liquidated ever-so-slightly.

With that snake-like sword, she drew a near-infinity shaped slash on whatever was the cause behind the redirected blunt force.

SWISH!

As soon as she felt her sword's path coming to an end, her feet moved and she zoomed past the black blur and turned to face it.

'I didn't feel my sword cutting anything….' She realized and the very next instance, her eyes turned sharp as her previous lazy eyes disappeared without a trace.

The black blur turned wine red before the bear-type beast appeared in her field of view. Its eyes were bloodshot and its gaze seemed to be off focus while the fur coating its body stood straight as if they were made of thorns.

Though the sight was intimidating, Ashley didn't care as her gaze flitted over its body as she tried find a weak point her sword could pierce through; she understood that simple sword slashes won't do any damage on its body since her gaze had already brushed past the beast's hand where some of its fur was cut.

"Mana sword." She mumbled under her breath while her gaze was locked on with beast's. Purplish black mana poured over her rapier hastily and within a matter of mere seconds, her sword was layered over by a purplish black haze.

Her senses had hit their peaks as she tried to capture even a flinch of the beast's body, so that she could prepare her next move.

Maybe because the beast felt it gave her enough time or whatever, it moved.

It turned into a blur and instantly arrived in front of her. Its moments were so fast that it had arrived in front of her before her senses could capture its moments.

'Its fast!'

She didn't know how she should move at that instance, but she knew it would hurt pretty badly if the blow landed as she stood still doing nothing.

'Trade blows' Was the first thought that flashed in her mind, before she analyzed the pros and cons of that move, her body acted and she stabbed.

Not once,

Not twice,

But exactly 13 times.

That too in an instant.

[13 stroked sunflower] She muttered under her breath, involuntarily, because she knew that was the most effective move in her current situation, and it was the move that she could deal the most damage with, hence she gritted her teeth and stabbed.

Uncaring for the soft breezes that turned into blades due to her fast hand moments, marring her right hand with cuts.

CHP!

CHP!

…..

….

Purplish black coloured sunflower bloomed on the beast, who blood spurted to the sides, decorating the bloomed sunflower, turning the flower into an ominous beauty.

But,

'It didn't pierce deep enough!' She cursed inwardly and gazed at the diagonally (left-right) downward claw strike come down at her, cutting through the artistic sunflower's haze.

SLASH-!

The claw strike slashed at her body from her left shoulder to the right side of her waist. Her blood marred bare body was visible due to the strike cutting through her light clothes.

But that wasn't the end of it.

The berserk beast instantly kicked out at her abdomen, sending her flying back.

BAM-!

BOOM-!

"Cough!!" She coughed out a mouthful of blood as she collided against a tree while all the air in her lungs were knocked out from the collision which made her lose consciousness.

Yet, the mindless beast didn't seem to want to end it there as it rushed at her to rip her apart again.

ROOOOOOAAAAR!

BOOOOM-!

It leapt and landed on her body, which was instantly covered in a cloud of dust that hid her state, but due to the beast slinging its arms around in rage, the cloud was cleared up, and

Ashley was nowhere to be found.

A magic circle had manifested beneath her and had instantly teleported her out of the artificial space, before the mindless beast crushed her to death.

Though the fight was nothing much in the eyes of people who are used to such things and had even experienced much terrifying things in person, for her, who was merely half an year away from celebrating her age-coming ceremony, the fight she put up against a beast which was far stronger than her was an amazing and a great feat.

Though it was regrettable that she wasn't able to defeat the berserk beast, her potential and abilities were definitely put out at display for the world to watch; she even displayed that she wasn't any inferior to any geniuses of the past generations of her family, which was far more than enough for any Noble family that strived for a competent heir.

ROOOOOOAAAARRRRRRR-!

The beast was even more enraged to learn that it was unable to hunt yet another prey even while they were right in front of it.

While it was enraged at the magic circle which was eating its prey, a volley of fireballs bombarded it, while a strong burst of wind exploded right next to its face, as the land cracked open and trapped its feet within them, the land turned damp and hardened the land trapping it before a thin jet of water burst forth and pierced a hole through its legs' tendons, rendering it unable to move.

ROOOOOOAAAAR-!!!

***

A few moments ago.

The other heirs rushed towards the beast which was being fought by somebody else, when a loud boom resounded throughout the forest they finally reached their location and gazed at the beast slinging its arms around in rage and understood that whoever was fighting it had been defeated.

With that understanding, they also senses the other heirs' presence and competitive embers were lit within their hearts, and they instantly bombarded their spells at the wounded and enraged beast.

Somehow their attacks were in sync with each other's, so instead of fighting against with each other over who'll kill the beast first, they began to focus on killing the beast first, but all of them had the same hidden motive and that was to deal the last blow and steal the points.

ROOOOOOAAAARRRRRRR!!

The beast roared in pain and confusion, its wine red mana began to morph into a more terrifying aura. It continuously darkened, but the heirs' blinded by their competitive spirit, didn't notice it as they continued to volley their own elemental spells at the beast, who was rendered to be unable to move, from afar.

The beast's core was being tainted by a darker, much ominous power which only those around it could tell, but the blind heirs couldn't care less about that change since it'll all be over if they defeated the beast anyway.

As the volley continued, the beast was riddled with cuts, holes, bruises, and third degree burns, which oozed smoke. The beast felt angry since it was being killed slowly and painfully, and soon enough, everything began to annoy it as if they were only there to annoy it.

Anger, anger, anger…..

It began to feel nothing but anger.

Its mana core changed drastically and by the time it felt nothing but rage, its core was tainted by something dark and ominous, which then burst forth without being held back.

BOOOOOM-!

A loud, ground shaking and ear deafening boom resounded throughout the artificial space which forced the heirs and all the other beast or trainee within the space to tremble in fear, as the weaker beasts and trainees lost consciousness in a matter of seconds, unable to with stand the domineering pressure.

"Demonized..."
