Louis meets Angelica

Several days passed.

Instead of improving, Emma's condition worsened. Her weight plummeted, and the hospital became a second home for her. This left Angelica with no time to think about love or revenge against Miranda or her father; she was consumed by fear.

"She's all I have," she said weakly, looking at her mother lying on the bed surrounded by medical equipment.

"She'll pull through," Charlie replied, sitting beside Angelica, who leaned on his shoulder.

"I'm not sure, but I try not to believe the doctor's prognosis... I just keep expecting her to survive."

"That's true... You should always think positively. Only God determines life and death, not doctors."

Angelica sighed, then embraced Charlie's chest.

Charlie smiled, glancing at Angelica's beautiful face with her natural pink lips. His hand gently stroked her brunette hair.

"Your hair is getting longer," he remarked.
