Saving Jason

"Like hell I'm gonna leave without Jason! What friend would I be?" Annie thought bravely.

Annie poked her head out the doorway of the office into the hall, seeing no signs of anything paranormal.

The closet was on the opposite side of the building, so Annie had to move fast. She tiptoed the best she could down the halls. As she turned the next corner, she saw that everything was still quiet.

Then she noticed the posters and pictures on the walls. There were no more drawings of Bonnie, Chica, Freddy, Foxy, or any of the other characters. They were all pictures of Springtrap, and their eyes...all their eyes seemed to be focused on Annie.

"I must be losing it. It's all in my head." Annie said to herself. "Just get to Jason and get out of here."

Annie picked up the pace, no longer tiptoeing.

Da-da-dum-dum-dum, Da-dum-dum-dum, Diddly-doom...

That sound, it came from down the hall. But Annie didn't turn around, she didn't want to know what was behind her.

She found herself in a room with a Foxy head mounted on the wall, almost like a deer head. "I'm almost there," she thought.

She walked back down the hall across from the room with the arcade machine, when a door appeared on the right. Annie hadn't noticed it before. It had a "DO NOT ENTER" sign on it, along with a "SUPPLY CLOSET" sign. This had to be it.

Annie opened up the door. The room beyond was almost pitch black, except for a tiny nightlight in the bottom corner.

Da-da-dum, Diddly-doom...

Annie screamed and spun around, hearing the humming sound right over her shoulder. She came face-to-face with a withered, disturbing version of what was once Foxy. The animatronic stretched out its arm and tried to grab her, but she jumped into the room and slammed the door shut. Thankfully, there was a lock on the door, so Annie locked it and felt it safe to step away from the door.

Taking her first big breath in the room, Annie inhaled a foul, putrid odor, causing her to cough and gag. It smelled like something was rotting in here.

But more importantly, the cheap nightlight in the corner was enough to reveal Jason lying on the floor. Annie immediately checked for a pulse, reassured to the slight bumping in his wrist. She shook him around a bit trying to wake him up, but he was out cold.

Annie checked her phone for service again. Still no luck. She then scanned the room with her phone's flashlight for anything she could use, anything that could assist her in getting out of here. All she found in here, were janitorial supplies, some crates and boxes, and a couple of jerry cans.

Annie shook one of the jerry cans to see if anything was inside. It was full of a liquid, of which she assumed to be gasoline. That's what jerry cans are usually used for. She took off the cap of the can and took a whiff. The strong, familiar aroma filled her senses, it was in fact gasoline. "Why does this place have so much gasoline?" she asked herself.

Annie then decided to check the crates and boxes for anything that could assist her in escaping safely. She grabbed the handle on one of the crates and lifted it open, to have a blast of rancid, foul air hit her in the face before she could even see what was inside. She started gagging again from the unbearable stench, but still managed to take a look inside of the crate while holding her nose.

And then, she put both her hands to her mouth as she stared in fear and shock at the crate full of rotting human body parts. She tried not to throw up as she shut the crate as quickly as possible.

"We have to get out of this place right now!"

With only one option, Annie unlocked the door and quietly turned the doorknob, pushing the door open slowly. She saw that the right side was clear. Opening the door a little more, she got a view of the left side. It was clear as well.

"Alright, time to go."

Annie wrapped her arms under Jason's and began to drag him. As she did so, she reflected on everything she had experienced here. This place, all places under the Fazbear name, they were evil.

"I can't leave this one standing, claiming more victims." Annie thought to herself. Then she got an idea, "The gasoline. I could use it to...of course!"

Checking Jason's pocket, Annie instantly pulled out a lighter. For once, she was happy that Jason smoked.

Annie went back into the closet, opened a jerry can, and began dumping gasoline all over the floor and the crates. She then took another jerry can, popped it open, and filled the hallway with gasoline.

"Now I just have to drag Jason to safety, and burn this goddamn place to the ground!"

Annie ran back over to Jason and began to drag him further, until she looked up.

There he stood, just a few meters away. The rabbit. Springtrap.

Annie knew. It was him. He was the reason for everything. All those stories of possessed animatronics at the restaurants...they were all true. All because of this thing.

"What do you want?" Annie called out to him. The rabbit only tilted his head slightly to the side.

"Can you understand me? Are you doing all of this?"

The rabbit didn't make a sound.

Annie slowly lowered Jason and reached for the lighter.

"Stop."

He spoke.

"I wouldn't do that, if I were you."

His voice was coarse, raspy, as though he were choking to death.

"So, you're no different than those damn robots from thirty years ago?" Annie said, unfazed.

The rabbit let out a deep wheeze, and his eyes opened wide.
