The woman questioned him. Kyrie stared at the ceiling for a few seconds. "Yeah, I can see that. I am not yet used to Ultima Hope, but I was surprised to see a place like this, so full of life too." Kyrie never expected to see a ramen shop outside of the big cities. He expected it to be even less lively.

"I guess some sort of culture will survive no matter what. I had a few friends who loved this kind of shop, but this is my first time coming to one on my own." Maybe it was the distaste for his mother speaking louder than reason, but Kyrie never was interested in Eastern culture beyond animes, mangas, and other pop media.

He knew it was petty to lack interest in this kind of thing, and in how rich the culture of the other side of the world could be because of his mother, but until recently, it was the type of thing that got stuck in his brain and refused to go out.
