“well I don’t really remember but I know for sure that he was the one who made the move first”, she said,

“do you remember his face or anything??”, Alex asked,

“well I don’t really remember cause I was heavily drunk when I met him and when I left it was dark”, she said,

“are you sure??”, he asked,

“yes am…wait a moment I just remembered something”, she said and their ears perked up listening attentively,

“what”, they asked,

“uhm there was HYS written on his suit in gold”, she said,

“well it’s as good as saying you got pregnant for a ghost”, Alexio said,

“Alexio!!! Language”, Florencia screamed,

“what I was just saying the truth”, he said,

“get lost”, Xio said,

“hey!! Young lady, you are not forgive yet don’t forget”, Florencia said and Alexio stuck is tongue out at Xio,

“but”, she continued,

“that doesn’t mean that we’ll discard the child after all he or she is my grandchild”, she said,

“what!!”, Alexio screamed,

“you heard me right young man, so you be ready to be and uncle cause we are going to take care of this child,

besides didn’t you always wish to have a junior, now that your prayers are answered you want to throw it away”, she said,

“dad”, Alexio called,

“if you’re not okay with it you are very well welcome to leave, at least that’s on less mouth to feed”, Alex said without looking at his son,

“wow! Big sis just wow! You are just great, you turned a ten years old boy into an uncle in just one night bravo”, Alexio said,

“mom but what about”, xio was saying before her mom cut her short,

“school?? (Smiles) don’t worry leave that to us”, she said,

“mom you are the best”, Xio said in tears a she hugged her mom,

“wow so I am invisible now huh”, Alex said,

“oh come on dad”, she said with a smile as she hugged her father,

“hey don’t forget us”, Alexio said joining in with Zorion,

“have no fear Xio, we are the Damon’s, we leave no one behind”, Alex said,

“yeah we’re in this together”, Alexio said,

“hey!! I thought you didn’t like being an uncle”, Florencia said,

“I changed my mind”, Alexio said,

“why??”, she asked,

“well because I’ll have someone to play with and order around like Xio does to me”, he said and they all laughed.

“Xio are you sure you’ll be okay??,”, Florencia asked holding Xio’s chin,

looking at her face turning it sideways,

“come on mom ma, I told you I would be fine, besides this is the one hundredth time you’re checking me”, she said,

“well I have to do this to make sure my grandchild and daughter are fairing, you know it’s better safe than sorry, I can’t afford to lose any one of you”, Florencia said,

“alright mom, I promise to take very good care of both of us, now if you excuse me I got to go”, she said before leaving with quick strides,

“(sighs) Xio, she will never change, come on Alex let go”, she said, and held onto her husband, eyeing those female teachers who kept on staring at him and he smiled at his wife’s possessiveness before heading to the principals office after making sure that Xio was out of sight.

(Principals office)

“Mr. and Mrs. Damon, good to have you here”, said an average height man who was clade in a black suit and trouble with a white inner,

“good morning Mr. Henry”, Alex said as the two men shook hands,

“well I guess it’s either this is fate or you are physics, cause I was just about to send someone to give this to your daughter but since you’re here we can discuss it, have a seat”, Mr. Henry said and the couple took their seats,

“well sir, ma, the contents of this letter is very serious, as of yesterday I was just about wrapping up here when doctor James came and gave me a shocking news,

he told me that Xio was brought to the sick bay by some students in an unconscious state and after checking her, he discovered that she was pregnant, but he didn’t say a word to her so that she won’t panic and do something stupid,

hence my reason of summoning you”, Henry said,

“well, coincidentally that is what we came to talk to you about”, he said,

“ok, go on”, Henry said,

“well, you see what happened was a pure accident,

she didn’t mean for it to happen, you know that she is in her prime, now don’t confuse what am saying,

I am not defending her neither am I pushing her away, am ashamed of what happened but what can we do,

we all know that it’s useless to cry over spilled milk, what as happened has happened,

all we need to do now is to find a solution cause I won’t let my bright and intelligent daughter suffer because of this”, he said,

“so what do you suggest, because in as much as I like your daughters academic performance, I wouldn’t be able to watch the reputation of the school be ruined”, Henry said,

“rest assured Mr. Henry, as long as we have your cooperation, we know how to kill two birds with one stone”, he said,

“okay, you can go on am listening”, Henry said,

“well my wife and I have decided that abortion won’t be a good choice because of the risk and besides the child in question is our grandchild, so that’s out of the question and we agreed that Xio would keep the child and as for her studies,

she would keep on coming to school till she gives birth, it was at her request and we had to comply but we gave her certain conditions,

and about the school reputation because the signs would of course show soon enough,

well we were wondering if you will Xio to come in a disguise then change in school if other clothes apart from uniform is not allowed,

then before she leaves she would change back to the disguise, that way it’ll be a win-win for both of us”, he said but nothing was heard from the man as he just kept on staring in blank space and Florencia looked at her husband with fear and anxiety written all over her face, when a voice was heard and she quickly regained her composure.
