WHO ARE THE HOBOST SOCIETY? PART 1

Wednesday 23 September,

****A week after the death of sheriff Robinson, is body is yet to be found, the situation gave the people a lot to be worried about, most especially me. I could not help myself but wonder what exactly the serial killer was doing to the corpse. I guess the image of is first victim still torments me, poor Nicholas did not deserve what happened to him. Regardless of the past tragic incident, we all had to move on one way or the other.

There is a new family in town "The Crystal's" i was informed by Melody that their arrival had cause a whole lot of buzz within the neighbourhood. It was absolutely ridiculous, the report i got affirmed that people of the town were rumbling and grumbling. I found it so strange, "why would they do so?" I wondered. Melody said she found out that the family who had just arrived in town, was that of mr hiram crystal, the town's new sheriff. I guess my petition got to the mayor. Thank God that problem is solved. It's clear this decision did not please the people, for the first time ever, the sheriff position has been taken by an capable individual.

Few hours later, It's 13:00 pm, Madison, melody and i were relaxing in the school lounge, when I received a call from the pathologist. He had called to inform me that the body of sheriff Robinson was brought to his office earlier on. I was shocked, but a little bit glad. At least, I can now confirm if truly it was deputy sheriff Oliver that killed sheriff Robinson.

"Dr. Fabian, what about the autopsy report of Nicholas Velma that I asked for?" I questioned him.

Dr. Fabian's tone completely changed. "Miss kale, I told you that information is confidential. The coroner is on the case, so I can't help you out." Dr Fabian replied.

"What!" I exclaimed. Why?, isn't there anything you could do?" I asked.

He remained adamant. "I am sorry, I can't help you out." He answered.

"Seriously doc, here I was thinking you could also get me Sheriff Robinson autopsy report." I said while feeling disappointed.

Dr. Fabian sighed, "I really wish to help you, but I can't put my job on the line. I hope you understand". He noted.

"No problem doc, but before you cut the call, I have a question to ask." I muttered.

I could hear doctor Fabian exhale once again, he said to me, "Go ahead, what is it that you will like to know?"

"It's about Sheriff Robinson, where did they find his body?, I also want to know who found him?" I asked.

Doctor Fabian replied, "I can't say who found him exactly, the coroner did not tell me. All I know is that the body was found behind the Memphisto tunnel."

I sighed, "The devil's tunnel living up to its expectation." I mumbled.

"From what I am seeing, the devil is truly working." Dr Fabian said.

I told Madison and melody all that the pathologist had said. They were terrified and also disappointed. What exactly could we do, we had hit a roadblock. All of a sudden, Madison received a text from her brother cody, he asked that she comes to frisbee shop. She tried to refuse his offer, but eventually she agreed to meet up.

By 2:00pm, she arrived at frisbee shop just to please cody. Surprisingly, he was not there when she arrived. Infact the only person who was at the diner was felicia crystal, the daughter of the town sheriff. At least that was what she told me when I called. She was so annoyed by what Cody did, but at the same time, she was very glad cause she got a one on one time with the new girl. She said it was quite pleasing not to lie. Madison said From their brief conversation, She was able to sense Felicia is just like her. Madison also said Felicia is inquisitive and determined just like us. She even joked about us having a good relationship with felicia, she thinks it would help us get on the good side of sheriff crystal. Too bad, Madison doesn't know I am acquainted with Felicia.

Some hours later, by 5:00pm, while I was heading home, I felt someone touch my shoulder, I turned back to see who it was. I was shocked to find doctor Fabian, he handed a folder to me which contained documents.

I was terrified, "Dr Fabian, What is this?" I asked.

He looked amazed by my reaction, he smiled at me, "It is the autopsy report you asked for." He replied.

"I thought you said you couldn't get it?! You told me the case was confidential." I questioned him.

"You are right about that, but also mistaken as well. I was only being careful, I could not allow the coroner find out about our agreement." He said.

"Thank you so much doctor, I promise you will not regret this." I said distinctly.

"I hope so." He whispered. "Please, do not in anyway publish this information online. Remember my job is my only means of survival, don't put it in jeopardy."

"I will do no such thing, I promise you this." I responded.

Elsewhere, Madison was worried about her brother's call in the afternoon, she was so worried, that she tried calling him several times so as to find out his reason for calling her in the first place. However, the call did not get through. she called her mom to inquire from her why Cody called her earlier on. Her mother informed her that her brother had travelled. Cody is finally going to resume at university of Asatoph. She was excited, but also disappointed by the fact she wasn't able to catch up with him.

Few hours later, That night, i would go to bed knowing that i was a step further in exposing the person responsible for killing Nicholas, cause i had the autopsy result of both Ex-sheriff Robinson and Nicholas Velma. I believe through this report, I would find evidence to prove deputy Oliver is the serial killer, I was so sure Mr Oliver made a mistake. I read the report throughout the night trying to find some kind of clue, I also sent a copy of the report to Madison, melody and kelvin to do the same.

Thursday 24th September, A day with a lot of potential, i said this cause i finally realize the kind of serial killer deputy Oliver is. He is definitely mission orientated, Which implies he had a cause. All i needed to do was find out what that cause is. At first, i was terrified after discovering this truth, In time, I learnt I had to accept the situation exactly the way it was, if I am to change it. I realized they had to be a reason why deputy Oliver killed both Nicholas and sheriff Robinson, both victims definitely had something in common. So i called Melody, to pass on this thought and also inquire from her if her brother shared with her a secret of his. Unfortunately, melody affirmed to me that her brother never revealed any secret to her.

About 30minutes later, When I was heading to school, i had this strange intuition, melody was not telling me the truth. I knew I will have to talk to her, explain my reason for asking her such question, I believe she will be honest with me. By 7:27am, i arrived at school looking gloomy, which was an improvement to my everyday mood ever since the death of Nicholas. While I was heading to my classroom, james and Madison approached me, James told me he wanted to talk, although he didn't say what he wanted to discuss with me, but I already knew. In recent days, i spent most of my time with both Madison and melody which is upsetting james. I was busy, but I couldn't let him know. It will only make him furious. So, I asked him to meet me at frisbee diner later on. That way, I would make up for the lost time. Luckily, he agreed.

Madison laughed, "James lovely wife, how are you doing?". She said.

I was not having Madison's taunt. "I am not his wife, we are only friends. Keep your carnal thought away from me Madison." I responded.

"Chill, I am just kidding, " Madison said.

"Don't use such statement to play with me, I don't like it." I replied.

Madison exhaled, "Okay love, I won't do it again." She said.

"Thank you." I muttered.

A while later, Madison informed me she is chasing a lead to find evidence against mr melvin, so as to prove he is not who he claims to be.

I was inquisitive, "What lead are you talking about?" I asked.

"There is this particular society called hobost, I was told this society is for the most influential in our town. Mr sanders apparently is one of their members." She said.

I was a bit confused, trying to find out what connection it had with our mission. "How does this help us?" I asked Madison.

"A society that has a kingpin as one of its members? The society is definitely going to be involved in illegal activities. This is what we have been waiting for. All we need to do is find a way to infiltrate the society without being recognized." She said.

"Hmmm! How exactly are we going to do that?" I asked.

"That part, I can't answer yet. All i know is that the society will be having a gala very soon, that will be our opportunity to go in undercover. They will surely be a lot of guest, that will give us an advantage. After school, I will go check the venue where the gala would be hosted." She said.

"Why?, is there any need for that?" I asked.

She stared right at me. "Yes. A wise man once told me, know your surrounding, don't walk into any place blind." She replied.

"If you say so, Just be careful out there." I mumbled.

"I will, trust me." She said.
