*** Joan's Perspective (Collin's Mom) ***
When Collin came into the house, it was a sight I had never seen before. He was caring this poor girl bridal style. At first, I was confused, I mean he has never brought a girl into this house before. He just seemed like he was okay with people, especially girls, not knowing where we lived. I don't blame him; I mean, we don't have the nicest house in the world. Why go here, when his friends have nicer accommodations. But, what more did we need? We had each other and we were content with the things we did have.
Anyway, not only was he carrying a girl, she was beautiful. I didn't even know the story yet, but my motherly instinct told me that this girl was special. The next half an hour was a blur of helping her and determining if she had a concussion.
