I parked on the street outside his house a few doors down so his parents wouldn't wake up. To say I was worried was an understatement. I figured the bruises wouldn't be so bad right now, in case Collin saw me when I came in. But in my gut I knew that I'd have to wake up earlier than him to cover them up before suspicion was raised. I only hoped that I could figure out a lie that would be believable enough for the concern to die down if it got that far.
