I never wanted it to be this way. I never wanted it to change. I enjoyed life the way it was before— a life surrounded by friends and family who love you. Heck, I got momentarily punched in the face by an old man or whatever, but it was still alright. But now, at the blink of an eye, well more like in a hand gesture, everything I knew, everything I lived for was gone. You better have a good explanation for doing this Sensei or whoever it is this "authority" seems to be.

Shujin and Kai were welcomed to the world of Daemons.

I admit. This world actually looks amazing. Everyone, everything's just simply stunning. The view, no words. But, that's not why I'm here. C'mon, you think I'm gonna throw off the main agenda just like that? What is this, the medieval times? See, I've got questions, Sensei, and you're the only one who can provide me with some answers.

Shujin called for a ride.
"Shujin! Long time no see. How's it going? How long has it been? Come in, come in. Where to?" asked the driver, excitedly.
"Shinjutsu High."
"Shinjutsu High?" Kai asked, alarmed.
"The most prestigious institution where all your answers lie."
'Did he really just destroy my life to take me to school again?' he thought, angrily.
"You want to get to see the Authority, don't you?"
"Hmph…" he grunted. "We don't wanna keep this fine sir waiting right?"
Shujin nodded in agreement. They entered the cab and they were instantly on their way to Shinjutsu High.
In their short journey, Kai recalled the last moments he shared with his friends and the world he knew before.
Soon, he recollected the words of Shujin, "Have you ever heard of Daemons?", and began having rapid blurry visions.
"Sensei." he called, sighing.
"Yes, Kai?"
"These Daemons you speak of, are they… forget it."
"No, no. Speak. Speak. I'm all ears. Now, you can't be left with piling burdens in your heart, you know?"
"'I can't be left with piling burdens in my heart?' Where are my goddamn parents, Shujin? Are they alive?" Kai questioned as he suddenly became emotional.
"I have spent my whole life loving and protecting imaginary beings. How the hell do you expect me not to carry burdens?" he reluctantly asked.
"If you do, then you won't be able to see the bigger picture," Shujin claimed.
"Whatever do you mean?"
"I'm sorry to interrupt your therapy session at the back there, but we're here!" the driver commented.
"Come with me. I believe you'll be able to see eye to eye when you finally meet with him," Shujin suggested.
'Him?' Kai thought.
They both got down from the car. Kai thanked the driver as he left the scenery.
Shujin welcomed Kai to Shinjutsu High as they walked through campus in all of her glory. Students of different kinds discussed away.
As Kai looked around, getting a bit carried away by the sight of Daemons displaying a variety of supernatural abilities, he accidentally bumped into a fine lady on the rush.
She was about to trip but was rescued by Kai as he quickly held the right hand and waist of the teen in a romantic fashion.
This called the attention of the surrounding Daemons as they gaze in amazement.
"My bad. You okay?" Kai asked as he let go of her waist for her to fully stand.
"Yeah, I am… Nice catch by the way," she said, chuckling seductively. "I'm Ak…"
Before she could pass out her name, a muscular figure yelled the attention of the two.
"Hey Akane! You alright?"
"Yeah, I am, thanks to this fine gentleman," Akane complimented.
"Hey!" grunted the teenager as he looked towards Kai viscously. "I saw the way you held her. Don't think you can just show up from nowhere and steal my girl in one swing."
"Haku, it's not like that," Akane tried to explain.
"Hey, you got it all wrong," Kai took over. "Umm, Haku, right? Seems like things started up on the wrong foot. See, I bumped into her by accident, and she tripped and…"
"Shut up! Damn you!" he interrupted.
"That's enough, Haku. He doesn't mean any harm. Shall we, Kai?" concluded Shujin.
Kai nodded in agreement for he was saved at the nick of time.
"Hey, brat! We ain't settled yet!"
Kai ignored and walked past him. They entered into the administrative block. They took an elevator to the very top floor.
<
‘I've already made an enemy, huh? What a start. Hmph, Haku…’ Kai thought sarcastically.
The elevator opened. A female adult stood and seemed to be waiting for their arrival.
"Karen," Shujin greeted.
"He's been waiting for you."
"I see that."
'Could the authority be the Principal or something? Oh well... they can't all be winners. Was expecting a whole organization or something. This ain't an action movie to say the least, so...' Kai fantasized.
They walked down the hallway to the last room. "Proprietor's Office" was the name tag of the room.
"Guess I was right," Kai concluded.
Karen gently knocks on the door. They awaited the go ahead.
<
"Sure takes this authority dude a lot of time to answer a knock at the door," said Kai, who was getting pissed off.
A misty cloud appeared in front of Kai. In the cloud, a voice spoke.
"And do you have a problem with that… Kai?"
An aura of pure command traumatized the heart of Kai and stunned Shujin and Karen.
'This oughta be good,' Karen thought.
The door opened. Kai recovered from the shock and they walked into the dark room together. The door closed as soon as they entered.
The room soon became illuminated, and seated on a throne-like seat was the Proprietor of Shinjutsu High.
Quite a muscular figure, though covered up in a large royal robe, and seemed to be influenced by the effects of old age, but overall a great physique.
"So… This must be the long awaited chosen one, ay Shujin?", he asked Shujin.
Karen and Shujin immediately bowed with reverence.
"That is correct, Owari-san."
Kai looked in wonder as they lionized the Proprietor as if he was some sort of a deity.
Kai said to himself looking towards Owari, ‘I've never seen Sensei act like this. He's just a mere human, right? This is more than showing respect…’
Before Kai could blink, Owari appeared to the side of him.
"Hey, Kid. If you have something to say, why don't you say it out loud? Don't keep it to yourself, will you?" Owari called out Kai in a creepy, frightening tone.
Kai was instantly frightened by his actions and suddenly began to sweat.
'What does he mean? More importantly, how did he get here so fast? We're at least twenty meters from each other. This presence…' Kai thought rapidly whilst sweating.
"You're doing it again, aren't ya? I guess Shujin here hasn't properly introduced you to your new world. How wrong of you," Owari expressed as he sent a choking aura of disappointment towards Shujin who bowed his head even lower.
"Now that you me-mention it, I've got some questions that need some answers," Kai said as he gathered courage to speak.
"Oh, is that so? Alright then…. Could you excuse us? I'd like to talk one on one."
"Sure thing."
"You got it!"
Shujin and Karen said as they walked out of the door. Karen closed the door and spoke with Shujin.
"So this is new," she began.
"I hope this turns out on a good note," he prayed.
"Why wait when we can find out right now?"
Karen placed her right palm on the wall of the room and sent shockwaves to the room in order to return back information of their conversation.
"You really wanna eavesdrop on Owari?"
"Why not?”
"That's a bad idea," he concluded, worried.
"Think this is my first time?"
<
"Oh Karen, you never change, do you?" Owari said to himself.
"Huh, what do you mean?"
"Never mind. Let the talk begin."
He snapped his fingers. This resulted in Owari sending an electrified shockwave as a response to the transmitting shockwave Karen sent. Karen got electrocuted and Shujin smirked at the sight.
"Told ya it's a bad idea."
<
"Now, what was your question that desperately needed some answers?"
"It's just…" he began.
"Sensei told me that I would have all the answers to my questions right here and so… I've been wondering all these while…" he continued, mustering up courage.
"Who am I actually? Was I even born of a man and woman? If so, then who are they? I need to know," he concluded.
"Listen up, Chosen One. You've been in the dark about your life, I get it. You feel cheated on as you are confused on what's wrong or right. I understand that this is how you feel… right?" Owari predicted.
"Yeah."
"Your life's ambition now has suddenly transitioned into finding out who you truly are. Now, you seek this answer through the Authority which Shujin talks about which you have found out to be me."
"Well, yeah. I'm sorry, but are you scanning my memories or something? How do you know all that I'm thinking about?"
"A nice theory, but not quite right. You see, Shujin was right to say your questions will have the correct answers here, but I have the answers… to an extent."
"What do you mean, 'To an extent?'"
"It's simple, you desire to know about who you truly are and through me, you hope to discover that hidden truth. But, the problem is, of why you came to existence I know of, but from who you came to be… I know nothing of it."
"So basically, I have no parents?"
"At least none that we know of right now."
"So then the other one?" he asked as he took in everything.
"Your birth caused the awakening of the Core of Chaos, Cosmos," Owari replied, dropping the information in the most unexpected way.
At the calling of his name, there was a spark of swift thunder claps which filled the room.
'Well that escalated quickly,' Kai wondered.
••• ( ) •••
The Core of Chaos, huh? Wonder who that could be… But from the large bolts of thunder almost blasting out my ears upon mentioning his name, he doesn't seem to be a close friend of mine. The first villain in my story? How exciting! What's his supposed connection to me though? Maybe he's my lead on finding out who my real parents are. I gotta know more about him. To do that, I have to be willing to go into the great unknown. Am I up for the task on ground?
