In the comfort of her cozy home, Emily sat on her couch with her laptop, leisurely browsing the internet a cup of coffee by her side.

A good way to spend the afternoon as she had said.

Browsing through the internet, her breath caught as she stumbled upon an unexpected headline: "Abandoned son Levii Weston finally engaged to longtime love."

Her heart sank, and a myraid of emotions washed over her. Checking over, the internet was splashed with the same news which had become the trending issue in just a few minutes of being released.

Adorned with different intriguing headlines. "From grass to grace, the abandoned son engaged to a billionaire daughter".

"A huge fortune, Levii Weston engaged to his rich fiancé Louise Simmon".

Scrolling through the tons of endless news, she felt confused and unhappy. The news felt like a dagger through her heart.

That damned Levii". She hissed loudly. " He finally got engaged to her after feigning a platonic relationship and what hurts the most is my blooming feelings for him".

" It's okay, it's just a man . This isn't my first time of loosing someone I like to someone else". She patted her chest comfortingly, taking a deep breath.

Even though she tried to be nonchalant, she couldn't deny the article had an effect on her.

A significant one.

Her mind raced with thoughts of missed chances and unfulfilled dreams. Tears welled up in her eyes as she navigated away from the article, unwilling to delve deeper into the details.

Needing solace, Emily knew she had to find a way to calm her racing thoughts. With a determined sigh, she closed her laptop and put on her coat. Grabbing her car keys, she drove to the orphanage.

As she entered the orphanage, Emily was greeted by the sounds of laughter and innocent joy. The children ran around, their spirits unburdened by worldly worries.

Staring at the beautiful scenery coupled with the kids animated chatters, she felt a little better and clearheaded.

"It'll be better to let go since I'm not planning on being the third wheel and besides Levii is too complicated and mysterious to handle, he only treated me like a friend and nothing more but now here i am deeply rooted in the abyss of my feelings for him ". She comforted herself and stepped into the bustling orphanage

Mia slowly opened her eyes, everything around her felt blurry and her head was throbbing with pain.

She felt a hand clutch hers tightly, and as the blurriness subsided, she saw her husband, Lucian, sitting beside her in the hospital room worriedly. She tried to speak, but her throat felt dry as she struggled to form words.

Lucian noticed her stirring and leaned in closer, "Hey, there, Mia. Are you okay, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere, should I call the doctor ". He asked worriedly.

Mia furrowed her eyebrows, struggling to recall the incident. Slowly, the memory of the accident flooded back into her mind, causing her heart to race with fear. "What happened?" she whispered hoarsely.

Lucian reached out to brush the hair from her face, "You were in a car accident. The doctors say you're going to be fine, but you need to rest." He helped her sat up properly with the cushion.

Mia felt a jolt of panic as she glanced around. "Where's Dad? Is he okay?".

Lucian's eyes became soft as he took a deep breath, bracing himself for what he must say, "I'm so sorry, Mia. Your father didn't make it. He passed away at the accident."

" What !". She exclaimed, her eyes widening in astonishment then slowly she slid beck onto the bed in a daze into unconsciousness.

Emily was having a nice time at the orphanage enjoying playing with the kids not until he appeared. Levii.

"Thinking of the devil". She hissed and continued with her actions.

"Hey". Levii approached her with a bright smile decking a blue denim shirt and trouser.

"What's up with the nonchalant attitude ?". He asked and Emily glanced up to look over at him.

Ever since after the occurrence at the henderson family anniversary, she had never chanced upon him.

The day she visited his house his fiancé was around so she just left, she was so worried about his wellbeing after the news of him being disowned by his father circulated around the next day after the event at the henderson manor but seem she was worried for nothing as he was having a nice time with his fiancé.

He flirted with her everyday when he knew he had a fiancé and now that he was engaged, she couldn't stop those blossoming feelings and for once she hated his bright disarming smile.

"Congratulations on your engagement". She managed to reply after a while.

" Thanks". He said and smiled back at her.

" But your looks don't seem to be that of someone congratulating another person success".

" You look more like a angry housewife". He teased and she scoffed.

" You think too much, by the way aren't you supposed to be with your fiance celebrating your special day". She queried.

" What , are you jealous ?". He asked and she hissed.

" You really do think too much".

" Alright then Little Miss Innocent, my fiancé is currently busy at work so I came to have some fun".

" Fun I see". She nodded sarcastically. " You really are a two faced bitch much more better than the ladies out there".

" Your fiance is out for a moment and here you are, playing around and flirting with another lady".

" Aren't I only flirting with you". He raises his eyebrows playfully.

" She really is unlucky to have gotten engaged to a rotten jerk like you ,stay away from me. You make me mad". She replied and stood up walking further away.

" Are you sure you're not really jealous". He laughed and followed after her.

" You're so disgusting".

He suddenly embraced hee from behind. " Don't leave, today I'm especially happy that I'm one step closer to my dreams".

" Don't be mad, I'll leave if you really want me to". He added cautiously sensing her resistance and anger and he pulled away from her.

" Wait". She called out to him
