Punished For Nothing

As soon as Denisha walked inside, Sati asked her to sit on the couch.

"Would you like to have water?" Sati asked.

"Yeah, sure," she said with a smile.

Sati went to the kitchen and Denisha looked around the room. Sati came back and handed her a glass of water.

"Thank you,"

"May I ask who sent you here? I normally take interviews in my office," Sati said.

Denisha shook her head keeping the glass on the tea table.

"I am not here for an interview,"

"Then?"

Sati was quite surprised cause there was no anybody she knew other than Prayas, whom she denied knowing and treated as a stranger.

Denisha was about to speak when Sati's phone buzzed. Sati checked her phone and got busy with that.

Denisha took her time to study her. Denisha wondered how she didn't look any mess while Prayas was all mess. He looked horrible but in a handsome way.

"Maybe people cope with stress and pain differently," Denisha thought.

She wondered if she ever drank or smoked.
