Jake lost his parents before he got to know them. He grew up that they died by accident but learned that's not the case. He wanted to find who was behind it but the more he started to dig, the more dangers he got surrounded himself in.

Jake returned to his dorm after his battle was over. He is now a student of class 1E, not the shithole called 1F.

He was challenged once and he did the challenging others once. He won both matches and that made it possible to reach class 1E. Though he had another chance, there were no more students that could be challenged in 1E.

As a student at the lower rung of 1E, he couldn't participate in this challenging event where the top rung of Class 1E would challenge the students from 1D. As there was nothing he could do anymore, he left for his dorm.

Before returning to his dorm, he first went to the academy's library to take a book on loan. Yeah, the academy has a library. One can read the books right there in the library itself or take them on a loan but had to be returned before a given date without any damages.

If you fail to return before the date or if the book gets damaged, then you will be fined accordingly. It was as simple as that.
