"I'm sorry kiddo, but it seems like we lost them."
The worst thing I could have possibly heard in this situation. What was my face like? Was I crying? Was I sad? I couldn't remember anymore. I saw the two bodies being carried to another room. I was left alone standing in the hallway.
"Mother. Father. No!"
I woke up instantly and looked around me. Tears flowed down my eyes like a stream. That dream again. I closed my eyes again and thought about whether I should wake u--. Yea I should. I am a changed man right? I finally have a goal to work towards. I can finally escape that day that haunts me.
*knock* *knock*
"Yes!"
Tochaki-san opened the door. She wasn't smiling though. I wonder what happened.
"Juni-kun, I'm sorry for taking up your room yesterday."
She bowed her head looking towards me.
"No Please! You worked hard yesterday helping me study and all the things that happened at school yesterday! It wasn't your fault!
"Even so, it wasn't right for me to take up your room. Is there anything I can make up to you?"
"Please Tochaki-san, you have given me enough. Please lift your head up."
"I insist."
I can't believe this girl. I love that she wants to make it up to me but she has already repaid me more than enough to help me study. But I don't want her to have the guilt of not making up to me even though she did not need to.
"Alright then Tochaki-san. You can make it up to me by helping me study everyday from now on except for the weekends alright?"
When Tochaki-san heard this, her guilty face immediately changed to a cheerful look.
"Of course! Tochaki-sensei will be at your service!"
Thank God her usual self is back. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a good day at school today. Oh shoot. Speaking of school. People are going to misunderstand the situation from yesterday when she kissed me. How should I even get to get myself out of trouble today…
"Tochaki! Juni! Breakfast is ready!"
Tokita-san's voice came through my door. It seems like breakfast is ready. It smells like bacon and eggs.
"Coming!"
Tochaki-san cheerfully turned around and started walking to the kitchen.
"You should get up too. Breakfast will be cold if you delay any longer!"
Last word of advice for Tochaki-san and she left the room. Yea, she is right. I should wake up and eat breakfast now.
