Cute Maid

Most classrooms, just like us, submitted their ideas to the school director. Our idea was immediately approved and we received our funds. The homeroom teachers held onto the funds and only the three leaders could have access to them. School was dismissed early today so I waited 45 minutes after most people left before running into Tochaki-san into the hallway. On our way home, Tochaki-san asked about our idea.

"Juni-kun, what is your class doing for the festival?"

"A cafe/bakery shop."

"Oh that sounds nice! I would definitely visit your classroom."

"Yea, how about your class?"

"We are doing a maid cafe."

A maid cafe? I've only ever heard of those things on TV but didn't know they were really a thing.

"A maid cafe?"

"Yea, many guys in our class voted for this idea. Our class also had more girls than boys so we decided that would be a good attraction for our classroom."

"I see. If I have time I will take a look."

"Really? Thank you!"

I didn't understand why she was getting excited over something like that.

"After we decided on a maid cafe, many people immediately stared at me. I was nominated to be a maid right away. I didn't have a choice since many people wanted me to be one and I didn't have a reason to decline."

"I see. I am rather curious what a maid would look like too. I'll find out next week then."

"Ummm. Juni-kun…"

"Yes?"

Her voice suddenly became softer and she looked a little embarrassed as her face was a bit red.

"If you want… When our class gets our maid clothes… I could show you what a maid looks like…"

"Really? Thanks for the offer."

I was indeed quite curious what a maid looked like. I looked at Tochaki-san and she was getting more red.

"Is everything ok? You face is all re–"

"I'm fine! Please look forward to it!"

"Uhh, alright."

We continued walking home with Tochaki-san not looking at me. Did I do something wrong?

The second day of the first week of the festival, we started preparing to decorate our classrooms. After school yesterday Kanjiro, Tomaki-san, and Spencer-kun went to buy some decorating papers for the classroom. The class started taping the papers on the classroom walls. After that, the eight people selected to be in the kitchen came up with their menu. None of the other students know anything about baking so they didn't mind the 8 people themselves creating the menu. The day ended before we knew it and everyone went home. I stayed in the classroom until everyone left before going outside. Usually Tochaki-san would be waiting for me but there was no sight of her. I got confused and went to her classroom. When I got there, the door was closed. I opened the door and saw something unexpected. The whole classroom, similar to our classroom, was wrapped in decoration papers. There was a cute cartoon maid drawn on the wall and a small sign on a table that said "Maid Cafe". I noticed a huge box in the middle of the classroom.

"Ju-ju-Juni-kun?!"

I looked around again and saw Tochaki-san in the corner of the classroom.

"Sorry, I didn't see you outside my classroom so I didn't know where you went."

"Sorry, I was busy… Wait, that's not the point!"

"Did I interrupt something? I'll wait outside the classroom until you're done."

I turned away and heard a running noise. I felt a hand on my shoulders and turned back around.

"Don't leave now… how do I look?"

I looked at her for a second and immediately knew why she was so flustered when I came into the room. I didn't even realize she wasn't in her school uniform. She was wearing a black skirt with a tiny apron in the front?

"I wanted to surprise you before we left but I didn't expect you to come into our classroom after school."

"Is this the maid outfit I heard from you yesterday?"

"Yes."

"I see, are you planning on wearing this until we get home?"

"Of course not! That would be too embarrassing!"

"Then why wear it at all. I don't see any other girls staying after school to try out the outfit."

"Well, most of the girls left immediately after school. The outfit was only brought to our classroom by one of the boys a few minutes ago after the girls left and since we usually leave later, I wanted to try out the outfit first and surprise you since I promised I would show you how a maid would look…"

"I see, then shall we head home?"

"You didn't answer my question yet!"

She seemed a little shocked but also embarrassed with her red face.

"How do I look…"

Now that I got a closer look at her, I only realized how beautiful and cute she looked. The skirt was only a few inches off from her hip. Her hair was tied up into a ball and she was wearing a mob cap. I looked at her face and her embarrassing look really brings out her charm while wearing this maid outfit. I'm not gonna lie, I felt my face burning up so I turned away.

"You look very pretty, Tochaki-san."

"Thank you."

Her face lit up a bit but her face was still a bit red.

"Alright, shall we go home now?"

"Wait, I want to show you one more thing. Please turn around."

I turned around. I wonder what else she was going to show me…

"Are you ready yet?"

'Not yet! Let me get prepared!"

Get prepared?

"Alright."

I turned around and she wasn't in my field of vision, I looked down and saw her kneeling towards me.

"We-we-welcome home…M–m-ma-master! Shall I prepare dinner for you… Nyahh!"

She was posing like a cat and her mob cap was switched to cat ears. There was also a cat tail behind her… My face started burning up again and I looked away. She is so freaking cute!

"Why are you looking away! This was very embarrassing! At least look at me!"

I again looked at her embarrassing face. Her cheeks beetroot red and her eyes were also a little bit watery. If you're so embarrassed, why do it in the first place??????

"At least tell me what you think!"

What Do you think?? What the hell was I supposed to say?

"You l-lo-look very cute Tochaki-san. So please, take that costume to spare my life."

I cannot look at her while she is wearing cat ears. It's too much to handle.

"You said I look cute right?"

"Yes!"

" Hey Juni-kun, let me ask you a question."

She stood up finally and got closer to my face.

"Do you know that cats love it when you pet their heads?"

What kind of question is that? How is this even remotely related to what is currently happening in this situation.

"Uhh, if that's true, I know now?"

"Then you should know what to do…"

She lowered her head towards me. What does she want me to do?

I scratched my head for a few seconds and the realization hit me like a storm… She is a cat right now and she just stated that cats like to be petted on the head…

I raised my hands towards her head and started petting the top of Tochaki-san's head like I've always done before. Her face looked more cheerful now than embarrassed and showed a gentle smile while her face is still a little red but not like before. Before retracting my hands, I decided to do something. After petting her head, my hands went straight towards her chin and started scratching it.

"Eeep!"

She made a noise and was shocked by what I did. Her face was more embarrassed again.

"You are a cat right now right? I also know that cats love it when you scratch their chin."

She turned her face away and I stopped scratching her chin. She backed away and was more embarrassed than ever.

"Ye-yea! But…"

She must have been too embarrassed to say anything. I looked at the clock in her classroom and it was getting late. We should have been home by now.

"Alright let's go home shall we?"

"Ye-yea…"

I left the classroom and closed the door and waited until Tochaki-san changed back into her school uniform. She walked out the classroom and was still embarrassed. It seemed like she wanted to say something but couldn't.

"Is everything alright Tochaki-san?"

"Mmmmm…"

"I unfortunately don't know what a 'mmmmm' is."

"Why is it that you only pat my head when I am embarrassed?"

"To comfort you of course. There is no other reason than this one."

"You know I really like it when you do it. So…"

It was pretty obvious what she wanted. Ever since I started head patting her she would look for chances for me to do so.

"Tochaki-san, you know, if you wanted head pats you could have just asked me to do so. I don't mind doing it. It also makes me happy that you feel comfortable with my hands."

"S-s-so… If I ask you to head pat me, would you do it?"

"Well when we are alone of course. Otherwise my head would have a bounty."

"You cannot go back on your words!"

"Of course."

Her whole plan today was just to make me pet her isn't it. She went out of her way to wear a maid outfit before anyone and wore those ridiculous cat ears (It is very cute I must admit) to make her do something so simple. What a weird girl she is.

"There is also something else I wanted, but I'll have to grant that wish myself."

Grant that wish by herself. I wonder what it could be.
