CHAPTER FOUR

By the time Katherine got back to the company it was already noon. She made her way to Frank's office straightaway,her heart pounding in her chest, she responded to the greetings of the staff who passed by her with a nod, right now, she isn't in the mood to speak, the only thing going on in her head, is the way out of the mess that god forsaken minister put her in and this time around she is going to deal with him,this isn't his first time of acting so cheap and childish and each time, she had let him off the hook easily but it's seems the old hag needs to be taught a serious lesson.She got to the executive administrator office where the secretary was stationed and overhead her gossiping with another colleague and of course they were gossiping about her and she stood at the entrance listening to them and the two ladies who were unaware of her presence continued with Their gossip.

"What is she,a whore?" Frank's secretary said

"don't mind her, she goes about acting all mighty when she is only a toy for the boss to play with "the other lady said

"each time I see her, anger wells up within me" Frank's secretary said, exaggerating her sentence with her hand

"did you hear that it's the two bosses that sleeps with her and that their handsome lawyer friend too"

"really?"

"I guess your jobs are too easy,seeing that you have enough time to gossip while others are working their butts out" she spoke from behind and

the two ladies hastily turned to face her with their head bowed

"don't worry, I will give you both something wonderful to do, something that will keep you very busy" she said and moved closer to the trembling ladies"it's unfair that you get paid for gossiping,am I right?" She said and the two girls looked at each other with fear in their eyes, they knew she was terror and not to be messed it.

"we a-re so-rr-yy" th ladies said with a shaky voice

"Keep your apologies to yourself, just wait here, I will be right back " she said and knocked on the door to Frank's office, taking in a deep breath, she opened the door and walked in. Frank was seated at his desk working on some documents and the sight of him alone my her stomach curl. She shut the door behind her and bowed her head.

"Good afternoon sir" she greeted

"What is good about your afternoon Katherine,did the minister sign the document?"

"no"

"why?"

"well about that…

"Come closer " he said and with trembling legs that she tried to hard she moved closer to him and stood in front of his desk and he stood from his seat and came to stand before her, then she took two steps backwards"

"he called me on phone and said he doesn't want to invest his money in the company anymore, we just loosed half a billion because of you" he said and before she could open her mouth to speak, a slap landed on her right cheek and she staggered backwards.

" you haven't answer my question,what did you do to the old man that made him refuse to sign the contract" he yelled

"he asked for sex?" she said, her voice soft and gentle and beneath that gentle voice hid anger

"and so why didn't you give him what he wanted, why didn't you open your legs for him bitch" he yelled again

"Pardon" she said unable to hide her shock," for 500 million naira, am not a whore" she said, her voice still soft

"what" Frank said and chuckled,"you seem to have placed a value on yourself sweetheart, let me change that mindset" he said and moved closer to her. He kept his hands in his pant pocket and said" Your destiny is in my hands, your entire life his, so you become a whore when I ask you to is that clear?" he said but she said nothing, "where is my answer?" he yelled

"yes sir" she mummured and he let out a wicked chuckle

"good girl" he said and went back to his seat then he spoke again, you have 24 hours to get the Minister's signature on that paper or you will be in serious trouble with me and yes, you don't want Walter hearing of this do you? If he does, he will mess with your beautiful face,now get out" he said and she bowed her head and left the office, she ignored the secretary and her partner who seemed to be waiting for her and went to her office, she isn't in the mood right now. She sat down on her desk and brought out her phone from her bag and dialed a number. " Hello" she said to the receiver" how are you doing?" She asked "I need you to dig up some mess on the minister of finance before 24 hours,I want to teach that old hag a lesson" she said and dropped the call.She is definitely not giving her body to that old hag and has for the slap, he will pay for it first though that bastard will have to pay for it later, how dare he say her entire life belongs to him, who does he think he is to claim ownership of her, she is going to make sure his household take back and pay for each words they have said to her. She picked up her hand bag and left the office , she doesn't have anything to do in the office anyway, the job given to her and is to be completed in the next 24 hours is getting the signature of that old hag and she will make sure too. Her fox is working on it already and her fox doesn't disappoint.She thought of calling Frank and ask him to hang out with her at least to cool her brain but later discarded the idea and went home
