CHAPTER-4 Progress Report

Spy and Espionage Class

Vaghat's Report: Abhijat and Athika lean strongly towards the information gathering side, while Akish seems to be somewhere in the middle, excelling at both. Ripudaman is better suited for assassination rather than information gathering. Lastly, Anila does not seem to grasp either skill, which is quite a shame. I had thought she would make an excellent spy. I suppose Mihika's report should be more comprehensive. I naturally assisted her with it. This is a brief summary of the situation.

Mihika's Report:

Over the course of six months, all the individuals I trained have acquired the minimum skills required for undertaking spy missions. Although there is much more work to be done, this represents significant progress for a six-month timeframe.

Vaghat and I initially assessed the skill levels of each person and tailored their training to their strengths. Rather than providing comprehensive training due to the time constraint of six months, we focused on what suited each individual best.

Athika: While she struggles with extracting information from individuals, she possesses an inexplicable charm that can lower people's guard. Moreover, she excels at absorbing information. Her skill in parkour is at an amateur level, which is still noteworthy progress within six months. Combined with her unique abilities, she is an excellent asset for information gathering.

Akish: Despite his initial lack of enthusiasm, Akish quickly adapted to our training regimen. He has become proficient in information gathering and parkour. He also displays an aptitude for causing distractions and manipulating situations as needed. Unlike Athika, he often prioritizes logic and reason over emotion.

Ripudaman: While his information gathering abilities are limited, he excels in parkour and assassination despite his bulky physique.

Anila: Among the trainees, Anila has made the least overall progress. This is primarily due to her confrontational nature and her struggle to use logic and reason over emotion. It appears that Anila Khokar may not be well-suited for a special unit agent role. Despite this, she has managed to grasp the basics of parkour, although she is not the most skilled in this area.

Abhijat: Describing Abhijat as a master of information gathering and manipulation would be an understatement. He displays a willingness to utilize any means necessary to achieve his goals. While he possesses a somewhat twisted moral compass, I won't delve into the details. Surprisingly, his proficiency in parkour is minimal despite undergoing body strengthening training.

P.S. Vaghat did not assist me.

Combat Class

Combined Report:

Akish: Despite initially lacking skill with any weapon, he now demonstrates proficiency with a sword, skill with a knife, and competence in using a whip as a weapon without external possession.

Athika: While she struggles with various weapons, she exhibits skill in a specific martial art. She is moderately skilled with a spear but prefers not to use it.

Abhijat: His proficiency is limited to a knife, and no other combat skills were developed. Thus, we focused solely on knife training for him.

Commerce and History (Abhijat):

Vaghat: Despite his historical knowledge, Vaghat lacks expertise in commerce. However, he surprisingly proved to be a fast learner despite his laid-back demeanor.

Akish: Initially unfamiliar with commerce, Akish quickly learned the basics, attributing his understanding to his constant need for money. He demonstrated an average improvement in history, grasping essential historical events.

Mihika and Ripudaman: These two individuals displayed slightly above-average improvement in both subjects.

Doctoral Classes: No comments.

Ability Manipulation Classes

Vaghat: Vaghat achieved the most significant improvement in his ability usage. He can now utilize his ability continuously for 7 minutes, a two-minute enhancement from his previous limit of 5 minutes. I also trained him to use his ability in short bursts during combat.

Abhijat: Initially, Abhijat's ability enabled him to hear movements of large groups. Now, he can roughly pinpoint a person's location based on their footsteps. His hearing range has also expanded significantly.

Anila: Anila's ability allows her to intimidate anyone within her line of sight. During training, I realized that her ability emanates energy through her eyes, suggesting it isn't solely dependent on sight. She mastered a technique called intimidation aura, inducing fear in those around her while she employs this ability. Although its range is limited, there is room for improvement. Using intimidation aura drains her stamina more quickly, and a faint red light surrounds her body while the ability is active.

Ripudaman Tandon: His ability enables him to wield weapons intended for killing with extreme proficiency. However, this expertise is restricted to weapons specifically designed for lethal purposes. If a pickaxe were handed to him he would be completely useless. Training focused on using weapons that do not align with his ability.

Mihika Dhār: Her ability allows her to disguise herself as any person. She can mimic voices (it is not part of her ability) but lacks perfection, and duplication is limited to individuals she has seen. Transformation also temporarily impairs her combat capabilities since she takes on the body of the subject who's form she takes. She learned to focus on altering specific body parts rather than an entire transformation. This method consumes substantial stamina and remains active until manually reversed. Using her ability for an extended period leaves her unable to access it for a day.

Athika Deora: Her ability grants her the capacity to understand and converse with animals. While she can communicate with either one animal or a group of the same species, she has extended this ability to multiple animals simultaneously. However, prolonged use leads to temporary deafness. Efforts to increase usage time and mitigate drawbacks were made.

Athika Deora's Secret Report: Team Relations

Initial interactions between Akish and Anila were strained. Their practice matches appeared more like attempts to harm each other, resulting in an odd relationship where they communicate mainly through insults. Surprisingly, they collaborate effectively, and it is possible hidden code words are embedded within their insults.

Vaghat maintains positive relationships with everyone, despite minor reservations from Anila and Mihika due to his laid-back demeanor and tendency to tease. Intellectual debates (read: arguments) with Abhijat are commonplace, though these often leave Abhijat frustrated and Vaghat amused. His interactions with Ripudaman are relatively normal, marked by friendly banter. Vaghat and Akish also share an unexpectedly harmonious rapport.

Ripudaman Tandon assumes the role of a mother within the group. He readily offers guidance and occasionally scolds which is unintentionally feeble. He is liked by all.

Abhijat's interactions with Akish are marred by playful taunting, creating tension. He enjoys engaging in conversations and pranks with Ripudaman and Anila. A shared wavelength of thought connects Abhijat with Mihika indicated by their arrival at similar conclusions.

Mihika maintains a guarded demeanor when conversing, except when interacting with Vaghat. Despite her reservations, she finds common ground with Akish and Ripudaman and maintains a strictly professional relationship with Anila.
