Reminding Him Of The Contract Terms.

Shikera chuckled slightly in spite of herself.

"Did you expect us to address each other as Mister and Missus until you come back?" She didn't sense the anxiety in her father's voice when he answered her.

"Doesn't he hate reporters anymore? I know he's upright and would not exhibit any form of closeness to you as long as he dislikes you."

"He still dislikes them, I wouldn't say hate. But, he's nice to me." She heard a relieved sigh come from the other end of the line, before her father's stressed voice followed.

"Then, that's nice. But Princess...you know you shouldn't like him, right? You know it's not going to end up in a good way for anyone..."

There was a long, pregnant silence before Shikera sighed, and with a determined gaze in her eyes, answered, "I know, Dad. You don't have to worry about me."

She hung up on the call and handed the phone back to Ethan, whose eyes furrowed at her gloomy expression when she dropped the call.
