Shikera struggled to pay attention to what the teacher was writing on the board, but her blurry eyesight hindered her. While trying to overcome the sudden dizziness she was feeling, she turned to look at Skyler and Reese and saw that they looked okay. Thereby, she concluded it couldn't have been as a result of the chocolate she ate.

"Get an hold of yourself, Kera! You just have to endure and your eyes will be back to normal," she murmured under her breath.

However, it didn't take her long before she realized she was wrong as not only did her eyesight become blurrier, but she also started coughing forcefully.

Taking out her handkerchief to cover her mouth, she attracted the attention of the class because of how loud she was coughing. Bowing slightly in apology, she removed the kerchief to see a slight drop of blood on it.

"It's your eyes, Kera. It can't be blood."
