"Why were you two talking like strangers? Especially you," she asked.

"What else did you expect? Even if I had mustered the courage to speak, it would have been deflated right from the moment she spoke. She said she regained her memory, along with that her family, her daughter and...her husband or boyfriend, if she had one," he chuckled.

Shikera hadn't expected that kind of answer from him, and she obviously wasn't prepared to discourage him from his line of thoughts. She knew nothing about Mignon's private life, as Mignon DeLoach. All she knew was limited to the MD scandal and nothing else apart from that.
