A few hours later....
Jenna walks down the hallways, findings flower vases and streamers everywhere.
Charlotte: *pauses decorating* "Oh, Queen Jenna!" *curtseys*
Jenna: "Early preparations I assume?"
Charlotte: "Oh yes."
Jenna: "Well, I must say, you've really outdone yourself."
Charlotte: "Thank you, Your Majesty. I just want everything to be perfect for the wedding. It's such a special occasion."
Jenna: *smiles warmly* "And it shows. The castle looks absolutely beautiful already. I can only imagine how stunning it will be once everything is complete."
Charlotte: "That means so much to hear, Your Majesty. We've all been working hard to make sure everything is just right."
Jenna walked further into the hall, admiring the carefully placed arrangements of flowers, their vibrant colors complementing the golden streamers that adorned the walls.
Jenna: *gesturing toward a vase of lilies* "This one is exquisite. Did you choose the flowers yourself?"
Charlotte: *nods enthusiastically* "Yes, Your Majesty. I thought the lilies would bring an elegant touch to the decor. They symbolize purity and devotion, which felt fitting for a wedding."
Jenna: "A thoughtful choice. You truly have an eye for these things, Charlotte. It's no wonder the castle always looks so lovely under your care."
Charlotte: "Thank you, Your Majesty. That means the world to me."
Jenna: *nods approvingly* "Keep up the excellent work. And remember to take a moment to rest. You deserve it."
Charlotte: *curtseys again* "Of course, Your Majesty. Thank you."
As Jenna continued down the hall, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in how beautifully everything was coming together. It was clear that the staff cared deeply about making the day perfect for Linda and Flint. The castle was alive with anticipation, and the effort and dedication of everyone involved were evident in every detail.
Meanwhile...
Grace: *from the dressing room* "Did I have to come?"
Linda: "Yes."
Jasmine: "And before you complain about the men getting to ride the dragons, they're out on patrol."
Grace: *huffs* "Like we don't have anymore dresses in our wardrobes already?!"
Jasmine: "Trust me, kiddo, I would rather be elsewhere as well. But Linda insisted that we come along so she could pick out dresses for us to wear at her wedding."
Grace walks out of the dressing room, her expression as bored as ever.
Grace: "How do I look?"
Laura: "Meh..."
Grace: *raises a brow* "Meh? Really? That's all I get?"
Laura: *grins playfully* "You look fine, Grace, but it's not the dress. Let's try a few more options, shall we?"
Linda: *claps her hands* "Exactly! We need to find something that's perfect. This is my wedding, after all, and you'll both be standing right beside me."
Jasmine: *rolls her eyes* "Standing beside you or not, I don't see why we have to be as decked out as the bride."
Linda: *giggling* "Because it's tradition, Jasmine. And because I said so."
Grace: *groans as Laura holds up another dress* "Fine, but this better be the last one. I don't know how much longer I can survive this."
Laura: *smiles as she helps Grace into the next dress* "Oh, hush. You'll survive, and you'll look stunning doing it."
Jasmine: "She's right, you know. Even if you're about as cooperative as a wet cat."
Grace: *mock scowling* "Yeah whatever."
Linda: *hands on her hips* "Alright let's see the next one, Grace. I have a good feeling about it."
Grace reluctantly stepped back out, now wearing a soft turquoise gown that perfectly matched her hair and eyes. The room fell silent for a moment.
Jasmine: *blinks* "Okay, I'll admit it. That one's not bad."
Laura: "Not bad? It's perfect!"
Linda: *excitedly clasps her hands* "Grace, you look beautiful!"
Grace: *awkwardly tugs at the skirt* "I look... the same. Just fancier."
Linda: *laughs* "And that's the whole point!"
Jasmine: "At least now you look like you belong at a royal wedding."
Grace: "Alright, fine. I'll wear it. But only because it's easier than trying on ten more dresses."
Laura: "Oh, we'll see about that. Jasmine, you're next."
Jasmine: *groans dramatically* "I take it back. Grace, you're lucky."
Jasmine skimmed through the dresses on the rack that she thought would look good on herself and took them into the dressing room to try them on.
Jasmine: "Those boys better be back with the dragons by the time we're done with this."
Meanwhile...
Flint: "I need all eyes covering the Crystaline Kingdom and its borders. I will not let a murderer ruin the union of our kingdoms."
Henry: "If you spot anything suspicious report it to me immediately."
Steven: "I say we split up. That way we can cover more ground."
Jeremy: *nods* "Good idea."
Flint: *nods in agreement* "Alright, Steven. Jason, you and Steven take the east. Jeremy, you're with me- we'll cover the west. Henry, keep the center secure."
Jason: *grins at Steven as they head east* "Look at you, acting all serious for once. It's almost like you're a real prince."
Steven: *smirks back* "Don't get used to it, Jason. It's not like you're the picture of professionalism yourself."
Jason: *chuckles* "Fair enough. But hey, if we actually find something, I'll take all the credit."
Steven: *rolls his eyes* "Of course you will."
Meanwhile, in the west...
Flint scans the horizon as they soar above the kingdom.
Flint: "Jeremy, keep your eyes sharp. If there's anyone out here plotting something, they're probably hiding where they think we won't look."
Jeremy: *nods, gripping the reins of his dragon* "Understood. I'll take the lower altitude-cover the forest line."
Flint: "Good. And if you see anything, don't engage on your own. Call for backup first."
Jeremy: "You've got it, Your Highness."
Back at the castle...
Jasmine: *steps out of the dressing room in a stunning violet gown* "Well? How do I look?"
Grace: "Like you're ready to boss everyone around in style."
Linda: *laughs* "You look amazing, Jasmine. Now if only we could get Jason to stop teasing you long enough to notice."
Jasmine: *huffs* "Jason has no taste anyway. I'm sure he'd think armor counts as formalwear."
Laura: *adjusts the hem of Jasmine's dress* "Well, at least you're prepared for the wedding now, Princess Jasmine."
Jasmine: *glances at Grace* "What about you, Grace? Still happy with your pick?"
Grace: *nods, tugging at her gown* "I guess. As long as I don't trip over it, I think I'll survive."
Jasmine: "Don't worry. If you do, I'll just say you were being dramatic."
Grace: *rolls her eyes* "Thanks for the support, Jasmine."
