Chapter- 6; Esmeray Windsor

As I felt my head ache, I heard some people quarreling.

'It's so annoying, I am still sleepy' I mumbled, still half asleep.

I heard a loud bang which naturally made me sit up straight almost instantly.

A guy with fine build, blonde hair wearing a shirt with leather pants who looked like a school delinquent entered the room and said "Ray, who do you think has the stronger fire attribute, me or him? Me, right? I knew you'd say that."

Another guy just as good looking, but brown haired entered the room and said "ha! There's no way that your fire attribute is stronger than mine! Right, Ray?"

I rubbed my eyes to check if it was real. Kaldor and Kaylan? They were standing in front of me!?

I quickly got up and ran infront of the giant mirror few steps away. I was awestruck by the reflection.

"Pale skin, pink lips and eyes that dazzle in the shadows, her platinum hair make her appear as though she is an angel from heaven"

that's how the book describes... "ESMERAYYYY!?" I shouted.

Kaldor and Kaylan seemed confused.

I took a few minutes to calm myself down and tried to contemplate.

Last night I was with Aleridge during his mother's funeral.

I went closer to him and looked at his face, the ever shining face with copperish, tanned skin and the eyes full of hope and confidence, nothing was there but emptiness in them that time.

'There is a void inside of him as well'

I thought and I hugged him. What happened after that? I don't recall even a thing after that.

"Oi! You listening? Are you alright? Why'd you shout out your name like that?" Kaylan asked.

"I am fine don't worry" I replied.

After a short pause I continued "but can you tell me where exactly am I? You are Kaylan and Kaldor?" I asked while pointing at them one by one.

I continued the series of questions I had "We are in Croydon? I'm special captain of Alvador, Esmeray?"

"Did you fall and hit your head or something?" Kaldor grumbled, looking annoyed and confused.

I took that as an opportunity!

"I guess that may have happened. I can't really remember anything. I have amnesia I guess." I said, trying not to sound weird.

They took sometime to explain me somethings about Croydon and how we're the attribute holders and work under "his majesty, the king Derek Tyrell's direct order."

I knew all of that, infact far more than that.

I tried my absolute best to not look bewildered. But I asked them to only check if it really is what I think it is.

I am in the story of "everytime, it's you" AND I am the female lead? I can't believe that wish I didn't even give a second thought to, came true!? What is this, a movie plot!?

Only I don't feel too happy about it. 'I want to see Aleridge'. But why?

After I kicked out Kaldor and Kaylan, I quickly wrote down whatever would help me keep everything about my life as Scarlett Wattson in my mind.

Then I started writing on a parchment about everything I knew about this world.

I decided to keep everything that's about to happen in my mind, incase someone found these notes.

While I was immersed in my thoughts and writing them down, someone knocked on my door and I quickly hid every page in a hurry.

"Can I come in" the voice asked.

"Y-yes" I replied. It was Daunt's best friend and person incharge of the Croydon's army, Heinrich Teruya.

His height and his black silky hair and pale skin always made me think he was a vampire. A good looking one.

"Kaylan reported to me. He said you hit your head during sleep and have amnesia." He tried saying that with a poker face.

Those two are not gonna be my friends afterall huh! I will have to keep my guards up.

"Yes, I feel like that's what happened, I don't feel much pain now, but I can't remember things" I replied, without giving out much or clear information.

"That seems like quite a big problem. Did you see the healer? And can you still use magic?" He asked.

"I am not sure, I haven't tried but..." he cut me off saying "Then you can take a day off, I don't have a problem so don't mind. We'll see if you can use magic tomorrow. Get well soon." And he left just like that.

Well that's good, I can use all the time to figure out what to do and see if I can use magic.

From what I remember, Esmeray had a devastatingly strong, offensive attribute, fire.

At first she thought she only had fire and earth attribute. She later realizes, she has a strong dark attribute as well.

And only near the end she discovers she has light attribute as well that has saved her several times and even others.

Since I know that already, I might as well try to use them whenever I get the chance to or I can check it's presence with light and dark attribute runes, which might be troublesome, if someone finds out.

Croydon was a big nation located on the north east side of the map.

Croydon was at the top in almost everything, from the number of attribute holders to the number of gold and silver mines and rune stone mines. No nation could be compared.

The only thing it was lacking was internal peace, as it is not easy to maintain in such a large nation.

Although people had some faith in the crown prince, Daunt Tyrell.

The incharge of the army had the most power after king and the crown prince. Under incharge of army was the the sub incharge. Then the special captains, who had several captains, under captains were the squad commanders and the cadets that included offensive, defensive and support units, were under those commanders.

Esmeray was the special captain of Croydon's capital, Alvador, which needless to say, is a very high rank even among special captains.

Special captains were treated like royalty, as they are considered the strongest power holders of the entire nation, they're important assets for the nation.

It would be troublesome if even one of them chooses to rebel against the king, as they weren't only strong but had people's faith, therefore power.

Naturally, a nation going through internal conflicts needs to be taken care of with utmost precision and delicacy.

Even here, I am the popular one huh. I sighed and continued writing everything I could recall.

But what time is it? The events in the book were with respect to the crown prince's coronation.

I ought to know when the coronation is, if I have to sort things out here.

If I remember correctly, then Esmeray and Tyrell should have a proper encounter around 12 months before his coronation, during a ball held by her majesty, the queen herself.

So now the question is... when is the coronation?
