Chapter Thirty-Three

#Chapter Thirty-Three

Serene watched as the servants moved the furniture from her bedroom, one by one, into another room down the hallway. She had a frown affixed to her face the entire time, but she couldn't do anything about it. Now they couldn't have people over. If they found out that she was sleeping in a separate bedroom, her life would be over.

"No, you didn't," he said. "We're still great friends."

"Oh," she said as her nerves rang in her mind. Why were things like this? How could she change things?

Then the doorbell rang.

Frank shot to his feet and ran over to the door, opening it. Frank's brother came jogging in, overjoyed with his family, carrying luggages.

For God's sake, not again!
