Anthony dimmed his eyes again relieved by his achieved self pity from a demon. Nonagon was shattered beyond repairs, people and children killed, orphans, widows and widowers created, all because... I wasn't strong enough.

"Raaahhaahahahahaah!" Anthony burst into tears, I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise! I couldn't save anyone! I let all those life's, the Hunter association down! I failed to keep my promise to protect my comrades and everyone... Right now I don't feel like a man... I... Feel like... I have... Become...

... A Demon.

***

The wind howled softly through the farm, Anthony could feel the gentle grass tickle his skin, as the calm wind blew past him. The sun showered it warm summer rays . What a life? He rolled on his back and gazes at the clear blue skies, it was dawn , his favorite time of the day.

He folds his hands behind his head and exhales softly, he places one leg above the other to stretch himself. He had gotten used to the hard labouring life, as he was the first born and that meant he owned the most responsibility. He was seventeen, had a brother who was fifteen, and a sister of thirteen who mostly helped their mother around the house.

He took on farming and hunting, also the responsibility of his father. His dad wasn't dead and surely not running away from his responsibility, he only came rarely a day in a year, sometimes he didn't bother coming.

Bufff!Buff!

Anthony heard rustling in the bushes. There was a tense feeling in the air as Anthony notices the approach of a creature.

He sat upright and looked at the bush several feet away. It shook violently. Was it an animal? He grabbed a wooden rod which he carried around as a form of protection but never really used it. Maybe today might be the first.

He wished he had brought his hunting knife, which would have made him have a feeling of being more secure. He devoted the day to farming and was not expecting any attacks of any sort to have initiated that impression.

What creature lurked behind the bush? A wide boar, no. His thoughts were racing on what to do. The rustling got louder and the bush shook even more. Whatever it was, it wasn't keeping a low profile. "Ron, is that you," he called out his brother's name with high hopes of him being the one behind the bush. If it wasn't, he was calling out to a wild animal.

There was no reply the bush shaking more, now there was trouble. He clenched the rod tightly with both hands. Ready to bore down on the predator. If he was going to be ambushed, he rather fight as the attacker than a defender. " you have been warned."

"Hahaha," there was a light chuckle from the bush. Anthony lets out a sigh of relief, he puts down the rod. It turned out to be a voice he was all too familiar of. It was a female, his younger sister Fiona.

"You should have seen your face brother Anthony, you looked scared," Fiona came out from the bush. She looked exactly like him, she had his thick red hair, light skin, red Iris. She wore her usual crimson red gown.

"Pony tail, you almost made me attack you," that was Anthony's nickname for her. Because of her long hair which mum had braided two pony tails. "It seems I have trained you to be more of a wild boar than a girl, haven't I?"

"I scared you, brother Anthony," she hugged Anthony tightly.

Anthony always thought of her as his favourite, everything he loved she also found a liking to it. They had a lot in common, unlike Ron who countered his every behaviour.

"You know it's dangerous to come to the forest alone, you're too young, you need Ron to bring you here," Anthony said to her "so why did you come?" Anthony asked as he pulled out a large basket filled with varieties of fruits and vegetables from under a bush where he hid it. He trained his strength to the very possible best to lift heavy baskets of fruit and antelopes he hunted and harvested.

"Mum wants you back," she yelped.

"Let us be on our way then," Anthony picks up his basket of fruits and holds it close to his body.

Fiona ran foward and Anthony jogged from behind holding up the weight of the basket while having thoughts of why his mother called for him.

...

Anthony and Fiona stopped as they came up to a large wooden house in the midst of a feild clearing, it was theirs. The best advantage about their home according to his father, it's location in the middle of a forest far from the neighbouring villages. But from his view he had taken a liking to the endless paradise and only occasionally or when needed, they went to the village.

Anthony followed by Fiona and dropped the basket on the wooden steps.

"Let's go," she tugs roughly on his shirt.

Anthony and Fiona walked up to the door. He grabs onto the knob and pushes open the door.

They stepped into a dimly lit room. Mats layed on the flooring. Anthony took off his shoes.

"Anthony," Ron calls out sitting by a small table with an unpleasant tone. "Mum wants us round the table."

Anthony nods. He perceives Ron's usual Exasperate tone. He sits by the table opposite Ron with Fiona beside him.

"What's up Brother Ron?" Fiona asked noticing the glum look on his face.

Ron glares at her "None of yours to know, slug," he scorns.

"Don't call her that. It's not nice to call someone rude names." Anthony urged. Ron was hot headed, envious especially when he was scolded. He would compare all difference between he and his siblings, he would refer to them as the destined ones. He always referred himself as the less privileged.

"Don't speak with your bitterness, it would only hurt people more than you mean it to...."

"Right," they all turn their gaze to a woman dressed in white attire, fair in complexion having brown hair. She holds a salver, a small kettle and cups placed on it.

She places the salver on the table nestling beside Ron. "Anger quenched a lot of greatness in the past. Always remain pure no matter what happens, living positive would earn you a well enjoyed life."

"Yes mum!" They all replied in one accord.

She chuckles, as a mother she trained her children with respect and positivity. Can't bare to raise a trouble maker.

She pours out tea into the cups dropping one at the front of each of her children.

"Everyday we age, we go through stages that would determine our future," she began "our past speaks for our future. Positivity paves way to a positive future whereas negativity to a negative future."

"My children you grow everyday, your choices have began to affect your future . Time has passed and i no longer bare a major choice in your life, it's you that will determine who you would grow into."

She took a sip from her tea. They all hearkened to her words silently. "Anthony... Ron... Fiona... I love you equally do not take to heart if I scold you, as a mother I only want the best for you."

Ron nodded feeling her attention on him.

"Yesterday was the past, tomorrow is the future, and today is a gift to pave your future that's why it is called present." She rose to her feet with her tea cup in hand. "I have said enough".

And like that she took her leave.

Anthony and his siblings sat silently lost in thought.

Anthony exhales softly thinking of his future

...

It was morning again and also time for Anthony to go to his farming duties. He left as early as he could, when the moon shone at it's fullest.

Anthony makes his rounds as usual, harvesting the little that was available, he sets off for home as soon as he was done. His mind was overwhelmed, clouded by his mother's words.

Anthony walks down the forest path, he was close to his home, earlier than he expected to be. The moon was still gleaming in the night, it wouldn't be morning any time soon.

Anthony jerks his head up and sniffs. He knew that scent from anywhere, it was smoke.

With his experience as a hunter he knew it was a wood fire. He sniffs again as he senses another scent in the air, more putrid than the last.

FLESH!

"flesh!" Anthony gasp in shock. Without wasting any time he broke into a sprint dropping the bag he kept his harvest in.

His mind became flooded with gruesome thoughts. His home was on fire and someone dead.

His house finally came into veiw. He halts breathing heavily, his home was ablaze with a fierce fire spreading even to the forest around.

Anthony wipes the sweat off his face, tears streaming down .

He scans the debris for any sign of life. His heart palpitates in sight of Ron and Fiona limp on the floor before the house a flaming plank on them.

"Fiona... Ron!" He yelled rushing to their aid. The heat was like a furnance, no normal flame could have amounted to such height in such little time.

Fiona and Ron were in front of the house the burning plank on both of them, a pool of blood spewing out from beneath them.

Anthony falls to his knees, he wraps his hands around the plank and hurls it away. "Arggh!" He grunts from being burnt by the heat of the flame.

The embers of the flames rose up with a great uproar. He quickly holds onto Ron, who was half burnt already. Anthony froze sensing Ron dead.

He took Ron's corpse off Fiona, laying his stiffening body on a fresh patch of grass close by.

He goes back to Fiona, her face soaked with blood, brutally bruised and scorched by the flames. He placed his Hands on her gut, her once soft stomach now bearing a huge hole with blood oozing out.

"Ahhhhh!" He yelled out in frustration, enraged. Someone did this to her, not a knife or a spear but something much bigger.

"Fiona!" He cries out shaking her corpse violently and wishing her to wake up. "Ron.... Ron!" He cries dismayed.

"Ohhh!" Bellowed a thick voice.

Anthony turns around to see a man pale face, stone like skin, two huge horns like that of a Buffalo sticking out of the sides of his head, he wore no shirt showing his well built body, broad shoulders, a strange marking on his forehead, and omnious markings like tattoos all over. No foot wear revealing his large claws on each toe. This was how his father described demons in his stories.

//โ„™๐•’๐•ฃ๐•ฅ ๐”น//

"You....killed my FAMILY!" Anthony barks out rising to his feet and charging the demon, his fist clenched tightly. "You bloody animal," he swings his fist at the demons face.

The demon sends a kick for Anthony, planting the sole of his foot into his gut, sending him soaring through the air and crashing face first to the ground.

"Ahhhh!" Anthony clutches his gut feeling a sharp pain, blood spilling out of the deep cut made by the Demon's claws. He tries to move but the wound paralyzes him.

He flared even more "Who the hell do you think you are to decide taking someone's life is right? You don't deserve the breath you miserable cursed animal!"

He was powerless to do anything, if his father's stories entailed right. Demons had regenerative capabilities, strong armoured body, super fast reflexes, extraordinary strength, making them a handful for him to face alone.

"I am Undomno, a demon of the greatest rank and I don't give a damn who lives or not. Foolish brat." Undomno smile, he glared at Anthony before chuckling.

Undomno walks to the shed beside the house, yanking out a woman from behind it. The woman's hands, legs and mouth were restricted by ropes.

He took her off the ground with one hand and hurled her into the air.

She screamed in pain as she crashed into the feild, her screams were muffled by the rope but her expression conveyed her pain well.

Anthony froze as he watched Undomno hurl his mother like she was an animal. It pained him, "NO!" He yells out pushing himself up but his body stays dormant, paralyzed with fear.

Undomno walks up to his mother, he claspes on the rear of her neck raising her off the ground.

"Mhhhm!" The woman struggles to break free but her attacker's grip was too strong.

Undomno takes off the rope from her mouth, "speak your last words, flesh bag."

"No!" Anthony yells warily crawling to Undomno. She wasn't going to die surely not while he could still breath.

"Anthony i love you" she cried out. She cursed the sight of seeing her family suffer so much. Seeing her son crawl beneath the feet of a beast, she just couldn't bear it. "Anthony!..." She yells out , her expression darkened with rage ...."destroy all DEMONS!" After completing her words she silences herself.

Anthony cries out his heart hearkening to his mother's words. She went silent, why? He looks up to her and met her stare. A little while passes before the blood starts rushing down her neck, her head falls of her body and drops to the ground.

Undomno let's go of the body leaving it to fall to the ground, blood drenching the grass.

Anthony stares at the blood, he places his hands into his mother's puddle of blood.

Undomno walks up to him, he crouches down bringing his face close to Anthony's , "oh I sense it now you have a wonderful Aura, you would make a great demon".

Perplexed Anthony swings his clenched fist for undomno.

His fist connects with Undomno's face faster than he could react. The attack takes him into the air crashing on his back dozens of feet away.

Anthony rose up. A new foreign energy flooding out of his body. Anthony lunges himself for Undomno fist first.

Undomno rises back to his feet. "You choose to die." He raises out one finger of his right to block the attack.

Anthony swings his fist for undomno who blocks with one finger, amazingly. Desperate Anthony stamps his foot into the ground throwing another fist for Undomno's chest.

Bang!

Undomno head butts him before he makes the attack. He attacks again swinging his foot again for Anthony's gut kicking him hard. Anthony coughed out blood soaring though the air a few feet and down to the ground.

Anthony rises again, enraged. "Ahhh!" He roars out exasperated. Again he charges but this time slower as all his body began to ache.

Undomno stood unfazed, he stares intently at Anthony. "Maybe?" He whispers his thought out. He gives a grin of contentment "die!"

All of a sudden a gust of wind blew past Anthony. He lost his footing tottering and slumming down to the floor.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!" He streches his hand to his gut, now bearing a huge hole in it. His blood streaming down drenching his whole body.

He catches a glimpse of Undomno, in delight, basking the reap of his actions.

Undomno turns and Begins to walk away.

"Hey!" Anthony yells at the top of his voice in rage. He ignores, striking more resentment into Anthonys soul. "Am not done yet! You damn animal!"

No matter how many insults he spoke, Undomno was unfazed. "Heheheh..."

"Coward!" Anthony yelled his last insults as Undomno finally disappeared from view.

His eyes starts to dim, his body numb and stiffening more every passing second, no wonder the pain he felt began to suffice. There was no saving him, but he just had to survive.... To avenge his family.

He began to drift into unconsciousness.

Not now, he thought " I can't die now....

... For mum...

... Ron...

...Fiona...
