𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖙𝖊𝖗 26: 𝕯𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓 𝖗𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖘 Ayami's breakthrough
Several ice spears formed from the river as Ayami gave a blue glow, the spears flew for Anthony at an incredible speed.
Anthony slashed his flaming sword cutting down all the spears as they reached him. Ayami's attack speed had increased greatly but still his weakness was the same. Anthony wasted no time breaking into a sprint for Ayami. Ayami was not agile, he stood in one place and would be no good at close combat. That was Anthony's chance, he had to get close enough to strike a fatal blow.
A huge water fist rose from the river whizzing through the air. Anthony sees the attack coming leaping over the water fist which missed him by an inch.
Anthony held his breath and sped up reaching the river and Ayami in a second.
As he got close enough just a few feet away from Ayami he swings for his neck.
A wall of ice rose from the water in-between them shielding Ayami from the attack.
Anthony watched his sword spark off the wall, it was too thick to cut, "Tsk!"
Ayami smiled an ice spear forming under Anthony lunging for him. Anthony blocks easily cutting the spear with his sword.
Ayami streched his palms out to Anthony forming several ice fists that bore down on Anthony.
"Shit!" Anthony blocked an ice fist with his sword receding back a few feet. The next fist came for his gut, he swings his sword cutting it down. "Damn, I can't win like this!" He cuts down yet another fist and catches a glimpse of a dozen ice fist coming his way. Only a Technique could help him out of this dire situation.
He realeased his breath and felt his Aura erupt in him, he suddenly feels a strange pain in his chest that made his heart pound hard. He knew this feeling, experienced it once before, Senior Kiraya had called it 'Aura drain, he further explained Aura as a well of water, the more Aura you use and take in, the more your well would have to expand, and expansion would hurt a lot'.
His breathing became heavy, he felt so weary as he dodged yet another fist. He gritted his teeth forcing out his Aura "Dragon tooth!" He yelled out his whole body shaking violently, flames rising around him and his sword "Technique 4 inferno flood!" Anthony lunged forward for Ayami ducking the fists that came his way.
As he continued to run a large wave of fire formed from the tip of his blade rising high up like a wave of water, he raised his sword high over head clenching hard to it's hilt with all his might. "Arrrggh!" He gave a great battle cry.
Ayami crouched down dipping his hands into the river, a huge wall of thick ice forming around him stopping finally after forming an ice dome that conceals him.
"Hide all you want! I will behead you!" Anthony yelled with all his might tripling his effort and the strain of his Aura as well.
"Ahhhhh!" Anthony slashed the dome and his wave of fire came down on it shattering the dome with ease.
"What!" Ayami gasped jolted to see his unbreakable shield torn into pieces by the flames. Anthony pressed forward swinging down at Ayami with all his might.
Ayami raised his hands to block, bracing himself for impact.
"Die!" Anthony's sword cut right through Ayami's hands, down through his head, neck and finally through and out of his pelvic.
"Shit!" Ayami's halves fell apart with a small splash in the water.
Anthony's mouth gave way to a wave of blood as he coughed hard, his heart could hardly beat, it felt like his whole body would fall apart but more importantly, he did it... He won.
...
Anthony stood staring down at Ayami's corpse, "yes," he whispered to himself.
Suddenly Ayami's corpse turned into water. "What!" Anthony gasped.
"Hahahaha!" He turned around to see Ayami laughing uncontrollably a few feet away, completely unscathed from his last attack.
This stuns Anthony "what the hell!"
"You beheaded a water clone not me," Ayami grinned widely "when I sensed the amount of Aura you delivered to that blow, I decided to make my metal ice shield not to block your attack, but to give me enough time to create a water clone, transform into a water shadow and rise behind you. Idiot!"
Anthony's eyes squinted, he stared at his sword in utter disbelief for a while before replying "it... It doesn't matter, I'll do it again and again till I take out your real head off your body."
"This is my element my domain, you are the misbenefit here," Ayami said proudly.
Anthony shook his head taking it all in, he was pissed of one thing "hey slime toad misbenefit isn't even a word, is it?"
Ayami smiled showing his sharp roles of teeth "I decide what I decide to speak, no one has the right to change me." Ayami crouches down plunging his hands into the river "you underestimate me."
"If I did, would I be fighting you slime toad!" Anthony was planning on a fully fledged offence
"hugh?" Before Anthony could take a step forward a fist protudes from the river below him, it looked different, made from another material that shimmered in the nightlight. The sight of it gave Anthony chills.
Anthony slashed down for it in defence. He is shocked to see his sword spark off it without laying a dent, surely this fist was different from the rest.
The fist planted itself on Anthony's gut hurling him dozens of feet away crashing down into the river.
"Tsk!" His gut ached and a wave of blood forced out his mouth, he placed a hand on his jaw brushing off the remains of blood on it. He groaned his body rattling as he rose to his feet hunching his back "ahh!" Anthony coughed out another stream of blood, he raised his head giving a resentful glare.
"Hell!" Anthony growled his confidence crumbling to nothing as he stared at the huge image forming from the river. Standing before Ayami eyes locked on Anthony was a huge image of him about fifteen meters tall with a shimmering diamond type skin.
"You're very unwise, the only reason why I created the whole diversion was to buy me time to finish building my full giant image, if I hadn't done that you would have kept on pestering me until I eventually lost, demon hunter," he chuckled "were you too stupid to figure that out."
Anthony felt a lump in his throat and a stiffness in his chest and shoulder, his body felt heavy, he had been circulating Aura through his entire body and attacking with it. He could carry on no longer, he was completely out of Aura and would be fighting a loosing battle against both the image and demon, he couldn't win.
He dimmed his eyes in submission.
"Hey idiot you finally accepted your fate hugh? Good," Ayami cackled running his hand through his hair as he revelled the moment. "Kill him!"
