Slitting Throats

As Ian left Nilana alone in the manor, a wave of anguish washed over her. She fought back the tears threatening to spill, her emotions churning as she stood motionless in the middle of the living room. The weight of guilt settled heavily on her heart, a crushing burden that left her feeling hollow and empty.

The realization that Ian had left injured, and that she had played a role in his departure, tore at Nilana's soul. Despite her best intentions, she couldn't shake the feeling that she had failed him, that her actions had only added to his suffering.

If she had known Mister Ian disliked having people over so much, she would have told Lady Sylvia to go back to her house.

Nilana did not even know what hurt her so much? The fact that he reminded her that her stay here was not permanent or that she broke his trust or the fact that he saw Nilana as a destitute, even after all the memories they shared together.
