Female Spy Assassin, Is the System Making Plot Amendments?

Yang Yuxin didn't pay much attention to this woman, thinking she couldn't possibly threaten her position. However, this didn't mean she would let her off easily. If this girl was a female lead, Yang Yuxin instantly changed her dismissive attitude to one of high regard.

If Su Chen knew what Yang Yuxin was thinking, he'd exclaim, "What a misunderstanding!" He was merely curious because he sensed a familiar aura from this woman, though he was certain she wasn't the female lead. If she wasn't, then why was this happening? Su Chen was genuinely confused, certain he didn't know this woman.

However, as Su Chen pondered, a familiar voice echoed in his mind - it was the system.

[Her name is Ji Ling, also a female assassin.] 

After a long absence, the system finally appeared, bearing such significant news. Yet, before Su Chen could react, the system went silent. Su Chen mused, "Typical of this unreliable system," but had grown accustomed to it. Still, the revelation surprised him.

The plot seemed to be collapsing significantly, and even the system couldn't control it. Despite this, male lead Qin Yu persisted, dispatching new undercover agents. Su Chen was astonished and uncertain of how to proceed with this twist in the narrative. 

After some thought, he decided not to participate in the drama. After all, he was on a leisure trip, Qin Yu wasn't around, and most importantly, since the system couldn't ensure the plot's smooth progression, he didn't have much to worry about.

A sudden suspicion crossed Su Chen's mind, wondering if the system had a superior and was hiding this plot chaos to avoid responsibility. Reflecting on his previous 9/9/6 working days, he felt this possibility was highly likely. After all, the life of a worker is tough. As for this Ji Ling, she seemed to be a character the system introduced as a remedy, an assassin and spy sent by Qin Yu, eerily similar to Zhao Menghan's design.

It made sense. In the original plot, Su Chen was killed by Zhao Menghan, but now, due to Zhao Menghan's character collapse, she had no connection with Qin Yu. On the contrary, she loathed him. Naturally, the storyline couldn't progress smoothly, prompting the system to introduce a character almost identical to Zhao Menghan to complete the original plot. Su Chen believed this to be the case.

However, he now harbored resentment. Why should he accomplish the system's objectives just because it demanded so? Su Chen decided to put things aside and let the system fret. If Ji Ling was truly a new character by the system, then the most anxious party should be the system itself! Su Chen planned to observe more, perhaps there's a benefit to be gained.

The system is a treasure all over. However, this Ji Ling should be paid close attention to. Female spy? When Su Chen thought of this term, he suddenly envisioned Zhao Menghan dressed as a maid on his bed with a look that said, "Do as you please." He hoped Ji Ling would not disappoint him. At this moment, Yang Yuxin noticed Su Chen's gaze was fixed on the woman from before, and she was visibly upset. 

After all, the other party might also be the leading lady. If she's the leading lady, then she can't be treated by the previous standards but as a real competitor. Yang Yuxin suddenly hugged Su Chen's arm and laughed, saying, "I was just teasing you earlier. How could I ever abandon you?"

"I'm all set to go to the bar tonight. Swimming isn't exciting enough; bars are much better!" "The three of us sisters are going. Do you want to come along?" Yang Yuxin lied casually. However, both Yang Danxuan and Su Xian'er didn't expose her. Su Xian'er didn't seem upset anymore. The earlier comment about Yang Yuxin not being assertive enough was immediately withdrawn. 

When another woman of the same type appeared, of course, she wouldn't foolishly risk it but would firmly hold onto Su Chen. If the other party were to succeed, she would be asking for trouble. Yang Yuxin felt pleased inside, thinking that no boy would resist taking a girl to a bar. But she didn't know that Su Chen was an exception. Please protect us. So let's pack up at the hotel later, and then we'll set off. Su Chen, I want to have a few drinks with you to thank you for your help before."

In reality, Yang Danxuan didn't really like drinking. She was influenced by Yang Yuxin. When she was younger, she was the obedient one, and Yang Yuxin was the mischievous one. Tricked by her, she started drinking. But now, Yang Danxuan kind of detests alcohol. 

Yet, thinking of drinking with Su Chen changed her perspective, and she even began looking forward to it. Su Chen gave a reluctant look, "Alright, I'll join you tonight! But let it be known, I can't handle my liquor. You can't force it on me." Hearing that Su Chen wasn't good with alcohol, a smile crept onto Yang Danxuan's lips.
