Mission

Pitch black, are the only words I could use to describe what I was seeing as I wobbled in my metal coffin, which was meant to restrict me, while we flew through the air or that's what it felt like.

I had been deployed to kill something, like always, like I have as long as I can remember. But my thoughts are interrupted by the sound of footsteps which are approaching my metal junk of a cage if you can even call it that.

The clanking sounds of the keys in the lock echoed in my coffin as they unlocked my cage. The change of air was immediately apparent. I take a deep breath but before I can even open my mouth I am grabbed and tossed out of the plane. I could have resisted but I know that would only lead to more beatings.

As I fell through the air, I did not panic and stared at the dark grey clouds. "How has it been since I've seen the outside?" I think aloud. I then quickly shift my eyes to my body to see what I have been fitted with, as I analyze my equipment I make a mental list of my inventory. "ok, so I got a parachute, a knife, some body armor, and a Pistol with 2 rounds, 30 bullets each" I resite.

I load my Pistol as if it were second nature and pull the string of my parachute as I get ready to do my mission, or I would be severely punished if I failed. I can feel the wind on my side forever as I glide through the air with my parachute. "It feels... okay?" I think. As I'm approaching the ground I can see what I'm supposed to kill, They look like ants from here but I think it is a militia of about twenty heavily armored men.

Before I even land, I aim my gun at them, bringing it up to eye level then, *Bang* heatshot. After hearing the gunshot and seeing their comrade get mercilessly killed the men turn toward the direction of the bullet, only the see a... "A child? with a gun?" one of the men shouts. But their shock is momentary as they aim their guns at the boy who landed.

He had a deadpan look on his face one with suffering behind the eyes, but one that could easily be turned into hatred. "I should get started before I am punished for taking too long," he says in an unwavering neutral tone.
