[ NOTE - I'm not good at naming characters. The names would be weird but try to co-operate. The story won't disappoint you. ]
"I will not die"
Aurelius stood before the mightiest predator "Kronos", his eyes ablaze with crimson fury while blood came gushing out of his mouth.
Hundreds of predators had invaded the city, "Asytra" which was vast, with towering buildings reaching for the sky. Everywhere you looked, there were signs of its rich cultural heritage, from grand statues to ancient temples.
But the streets once bustling with life were now filled with ripped-off human body parts, crimson-blood rivers weaving through the urban landscape. The human race had never before witnessed such devastation. The strongest warriors were sent to fight the monsters led by Aurelius (The strongest warrior of that era).
Each warrior, in turn, confronted death, falling mercilessly before the onslaught, except for their indomitable leader. Aurelius was born for this very purpose—to vanquish these predators. With a storied history of killing thousands before them, he stood alone as the solitary beacon of hope.
In the heart of battle, he faced off against hundreds of predators, each one a deadly threat. He fought them off one by one, his sword flashing like lightning, severing the monsters' necks with precision. His attacks were fierce and unmatched, leaving behind a path of defeated enemies.
Despite his formidable strength, his body bore the scars of countless wounds, his arm got cut off. Blood soaked his clothes, blurring his vision, yet still, he persisted, His legs trembled with exhaustion, his voice faltered with fatigue, but his spirit remained unbroken.
With every predator he vanquished, he grew closer to his ultimate foe: Kronos. And as the dust settled, only one figure remained standing—Aurelius, ready to face his greatest challenge yet.
The scars were deep, he couldn't have fought with the least amount of strength left in his body.
"Huh? Was that all? I was bored you know! "Kronos's massive hands tightened around Aurelius' neck. " Well then, Meet you in hell"
But Aurelius denied to be a servant of death, With lightning speed, his sword severed through Kronos's massive hand. Standing firm, his feet rooted to the earth's crust, he declared:
"I won't die. Even if my soul leaves my body this very day, it will give birth to thousands of me destined to bring about your downfall. "
// Power System //
Hundreds of years ago, humanity faced a curse—the existence of predators dwelling in caves within forests, emerging at dawn to prey upon villages and towns. Cities with the highest populations were most vulnerable to these attacks. The entire country was divided into zones:
The red zone, with a 75% chance of attack, had the highest security.
The orange zone had a 55% chance.
The yellow zone had a 30% chance.
The green zones had a 10% chance.
Upon slaying a beast or predator, hunters can collect their mana crystals to enhance their strength, abilities, or speed, with the crystal's potency reflecting the predator's power.
To become a recognized slayer, one must collect at least 20 mana crystals, necessitating success in the National Predator Hunter Association's selection exam. Participants in this exam are sent to specialized areas with predators all over the place for three months. Out of 3000 yearly contenders, only 150 are chosen, forming guilds to combat the predators thereafter.
