Chapter Thirty: Costly Mistake.

Over the past few days, Prince Nicholas has been avoiding Elizabeth. He refused to acknowledge her presence whenever she entered his chamber to clean, pretending as if she didn't exist at all. This was highly disappointing, stemming from the fact that Elizabeth had a motive to make him fall for her and turn against his father.

In the evenings, he was consistently with other women in his bed, not caring that she was present as he engaged in intimate activities. Elizabeth wondered why he had changed so much, especially after his sister Jasmine visited and wrongly punished her for something she didn't do.

Elizabeth had wanted to report what Jasmine did to her brother, Arthur, but she decided against it. After all, it was because of Jasmine that her brother was saved and being treated by the physician. She was also grateful that Arthur was recuperating and getting better. Plus, Jasmine had managed to convince the queen to let him rest more until he's fully recovered.
