soon in the dark dungeon where there was no trace of light a wisp formed and then transformed into a werewolf.
' if it's just that , it's easy then ' Edge thought although he never fought against a werewolf but he had already fought some gnolls and had a little experience with humanoid like monsters.
Edge was level 15 and had 150 stat points and decided to allocate them
30 stat points into Strength , Stamina and agility each
And 10 in the constitution
He looked directly in the werewolf eyes and cursed because the werewolf looked strong and if he killed that werewolf and gain EXP then there is a chance that he can level up.
And Edge didn't want a level up at this time because he was just 5 levels away from reaching 20 but if he achives 20 before unlocking the special stat then he can not unlock his special stat anymore.
It seemed long time but it was just a moment of thought which was interrupted as the werewolf dashed towards Edge.
'fast' Edge thought as he pulled out his two black elven styled short swords that he bought after selling all of his loot that he got after clearing 4 monster regions , holding them in his two hands and holding them in a cross position to stop the werewolf's claws from reaching him.
Edge pushed the werewolf back with his increased weight and gave a huge push to werewolf.
The werewolf lost his balance for a second and Edge immediately got down and swung his short sword and cut down the werewolf's legs.
The rest was very easy as the werewolf got very slow
That's how Edge killed his first werewolf but surprisingly he didn't got any EXP for it and he was happy about this fact.
Soon another two werewolfs appeared and attacked Edge.
at that time Edge didn't know that this whole test was to determine what unique stat was suitable for Edge , the more he will fight the more the AI will be able to predict what to give Edge.
after killing 9 werewolfs another 10 werewolfs appeared and Edge was happy to take care of them because they might not give some EXP but he was definitely increasing his proficiency.
it took Edge 30 minutes to kill 10 werewolfs and after killing them he immediately recived a level up instead of EXP.
Now he was level 16.
" fuck!!! " Edge cursed but then calmed down because maybe he can hold out till 18
like this 1 sabertooth came and after killing the 10th sabertooth , Edge received another level up.
Soon Edge was all the way to 18 and he didn't know how and when this test will be finished.
But after waiting for some time no monster showed up and with this a sense of relief also came along.
After some time a humanoid body emerged in front of him it was all black and was very muscular with only eyes and mouth on his face.
" Damn I guess unlocking my special stat is a dream for me now because this thing is definitely going to give me a huge level up "
Because the creature in front of him doesn't had any special thing like claws or weapons Edge also retracted his swords to fight barehanded just for fun and shortened the distance by decreasing his mass for a second and increasing it to max when he was in front of the monster.
Edge threw a punch of power but what came next truly shocked him , the monster caught his hand , then the very next second a huge black fist came towards his face and Edge was too late to react.
Bam!!!!!!!!!!!
Edge went flying but was stopped because the monster still held his fist that he caught.
after 10 consecutive punches on his face Edge realised that the monster doesn't have much power in his punches because his HP was still half left.
" Do you get now what you are missing in Yourself " a voice resounded
" you can speak " Edge was caught off guard by this but he was finally able to free his fist from the monster's grip.
" or course I can speak why do you think I have this mouth here " the creature said while his mouth turned into a smirk.
" then tell me how can I unlock my special stat " Edge said while showing the question marked box which contained his special stat.
" well that I don't know I guess you have to defeat me first " the creature said in a growling voice and stepped forward toward Edge.
" Think of what you are missing right now " the creature said and attacked Edge
" Damn it what does it mean what I'm missing I have stats better than most people I've trained enough in increasing my mind to body connection " as Edge was thinking what he was missing the creature struck him straight at the jaw and his jaw was not healing by the basic regeneration anymore and he felt pain for real this time and then he recalled something - all players had passive regeneration rate although small it was still there but Edge didn't
" It's regeneration that's it my special stat is regeneration "
Unknown to him at that moment the special AI called Telos was focusing solely on him.
In a room without any light there was a huge hologram of a typical computerized emoji face which was without expression.
That was Telos and there was a warning slide on the side window and many calculations and predictions running in another window.
when Edge got the final puzzle solved he flicked his hands and his swords now had a special blue aura i.e. sword aura and attacked the creature.
From the harsh beating earlier Edge already knew that the creature is strong but he can defeat it if he uses sword aura but he was on level 19 so he didn't wanted to finish up this early without gaining any clue about his special stat.
but now when he knows his special stat he can finally kill this creature.
As Edge butchered down the creature the mystery box in his inventory kept glowing brightly and as he finally killed the creature and leveled up to 21 the box came out and the words were there.

Surprisingly as he was about to select he was automatically logged out because he finished his playing hours time , he manually set it as only 7 hours so that he can go to school on time.
" aww man , i guess I've to go to school now "
as he came downstairs to the dinning table his father called him
" what are you doing waking up this early , I thought you start your day a little late on Saturday because the school is off "
" ohhhh yeah today is Saturday I forgot about that " Ted said to himself in a low voice but proceeded to the table.
as he finished his breakfast he asked his dad
" Hey dad I got my special stat unlocked and it was recovery do you think that I should choose it " Ted asked
" I think it's a good stat to be honest but I don't think you should because the AI that is working on the game can predict upto 14 million different scenarios and if he let you have that stat then prepare to get nerfed " His father answered his query and Ted seriously considered it because his father was on the team of scientists that built this AI.
After finishing up he logged in again and selected his special stat.
