Edge's Perspective

Upon forming the contract, Edge immediately scrutinized Ragnarok's status. The realization that Ragnarok's HP was calculated by Constitution*50, instead of the usual *30, left him flabbergasted. This meant Ragnarok was on par with a wandering world boss or a demon lord.

"This is absurd," Edge thought. "With anti-magic capabilities, he can obliterate and dismantle magic. He's a veritable juggernaut, and I need to leverage his potential effectively."

Edge marveled at Ragnarok's imposing 10ft form, now even more muscular and majestic.

"I, Ragnarok, am eternally grateful for this new name and life, Master Edge," Ragnarok's voice, deep and resonant with a growling undertone, reverberated menacingly, though not directed at Edge.

Kneeling like a knight, Ragnarok bowed to Edge. Edge, his mind racing with stratagems, smiled ominously. "I had a plan, but seeing you now, I know you can assist me."

( A look at Ragnarok )

"Your mission is to return to the Demon Territory, gain recognition, expand your knowledge, and amplify your strength using Brute Force Augmentation. Strive to become one of the demon lords," Edge commanded, confident that Ragnarok's new form would allow him to surpass any adversary through rigorous training.

Guild Meeting

In a dimly lit chamber, twenty intricately carved chairs encircled a vast, round table, symbolizing equality among the top 20 guilds in ESCAPE Online. As the leaders—ten S-Rated and ten A-Rated guilds—arrived and took their seats, a palpable tension filled the air.

"Today's discourse will be led by Guild Leader Ares of the Warmongers Guild," announced an elderly figure at the head of the table, gesturing for Ares to commence.

"I'll dispense with formalities. I assert, without equivocation, that there is already a Legacy holder among us," Ares declared, his tone laden with gravity.

His proclamation was met with derision. "Hahaha, you're humorous, Ares. Do you genuinely believe that?" several leaders scoffed.

"Please, gentlemen, let's extend Ares the courtesy of being heard," urged Gallard, attempting to restore decorum.

"Gallard, we dominate the west, east, and south. Only the north eludes us due to the inability to establish an official guild. If someone had a Legacy, we would undoubtedly be apprised," asserted Guild Master Walker.

Ares interjected with conviction, "Excuse me, but there's a reason I elevated my guild from obscurity to a top A-Rank guild in a mere two years. Blade, didn't you speculate that Edge had exited the game? How then did he return with such formidable strength? What if he has the Legacy?"

Silence ensued, Ares's words seeping into the collective consciousness of the leaders. He continued, "Have you not discerned an uptick in Legacy-related quests? Tell me I'm mistaken."

The leaders fell into contemplative silence, their earlier skepticism giving way to introspection. Ares knew that internecine competition had stymied their cooperation. "Some of you may have already secured low-rated Legacies, but I shall not pry further."

Gallard, leaning forward, asked, "So, what's your hypothesis, Ares?"

"Kenjin and Jin will inevitably acquire their Legacies. It's a question of timing, not possibility. But beyond us, there are the Five Kings," Ares elucidated.

The Five Kings were guild leaders of such prodigious power that they stood apart from the 20 guilds. Their guilds never engaged in internecine conflict, aware that such skirmishes would only benefit their rivals.

"If one of the Kings possesses a Legacy, they will surely obfuscate it. However, my suspicion gravitates towards Edge. To penetrate the rankings, one must attain level 100. When Blade confronted him, he was nearly there. It defies logic that it took him over a month to re-enter the rankings—unless he had a Legacy, which reset his level to zero."

Gallard pondered, "If not these scenarios, then perhaps there exists a dark horse among us. What course of action do you propose, Ares?"

"Expand our dominions, establish guild branches, recruit prolifically, accrue Kingdom Reputation points, and elevate your Insight skill. Locate that player. If he operates solo, ensure he either aligns with us or is neutralized," Ares advised, his words laden with strategic intent.

"And there is another matter," Ares continued, his gaze intensifying, "someone has obstructed access to the Northern Continent."

A collective murmur rippled through the room, the gravity of the situation sinking in.

Guild Master Walker interjected, "Obstructed access? What are you insinuating, Ares?"

Ares's eyes narrowed. "A powerful entity, possibly a coalition, has sealed the Northern Continent. It is imperative we investigate this obstruction."

Gallard, nodding in agreement, added, " we must consider the Five Kings. If one of them has orchestrated this blockage, they are preparing for something monumental. We cannot afford complacency."

Ares, sensing the shift in the room, leaned forward. "Our course of action is clear. We must unify our efforts, share intelligence, and confront this obstruction head-on. The fate of our guilds—and perhaps the balance of power within ESCAPE Online—depends on it."

The leaders, now galvanized by Ares's impassioned speech, began formulating plans. The chamber buzzed with renewed purpose and resolve. The top 20 guilds, once fragmented by rivalry, now faced a common adversary.
